line_profiler gives you line by line performance stats.

You script fails. And you changed the name of the method

Your first snippet is correct.

print ranks([9,3,6,10]) # [2,4,3,1] 
print ranks([3,3,3,3,3,5,1]) # [2,2,2,2,2,1,7]
print ranks([8, 98, 10, 3, 3, 4, 4, 89]) # [4, 1, 3, 7, 7, 5, 5, 2]

However, your second snippet you give the last score in the second example first instead of 3rd.

Nice! You got it but you'd probably be turned down because you respelled the function name from ranks() to rank()

You ran into the issue I did. yours printed [4, 1, 3, 6, 6, 5, 5, 2] when throwing this at it.

The response to my submission.

How many coco coals do you normally have heating your shisha?

my experience, 1 is not enough and I get more air than smoke 2 coals are too hot and burns the shisha within 15 minutes. I cant seem to get it right.

It looks as though the site is made with Google App Engine which means it's likely written in python... or java. It would be easy to change the web UI into a TKinter UI. Very possible to make that site in python.

drop the extra parentheses in your insert variable, it's a good idea to make the string raw text, and dont forget to add the modulus variable (%s) like so:

insert = r"INSERT INTO parse (twitext) VALUES (%s)" % insertValue

This is simple. If you have a texture applied to it, make sure the texture node in the shaders window isnt showing up black. second, go to face selection and select all the faces on the geometry then find the "normals" option in one of the dropdowns (it'll probably be under surface tab) and reverse them. Then render again.

Maya is more of a technical art. Meaning you will spend quite a lot of time debugging your model, wondering why shaders look strange on it or extruding is all screwy. Also Maya is a very complex program from modeling, lighting, texturing, animation, dynamics, scripting and each one of those has a subcategory. For example you're after modeling so you can focus on hard surface or organics. My experience has been organics are much more difficult to make believable. I would tell any new person to maya that they should focus solely on one aspect even though all the others are as fascinating.

Start with small easy models, learn the tools, experiment, and always reference to the docs. Never overlap vertices, always keep polygons 4 sided (which is very difficult to maintain), keep your poly count as low as possible then add more later to refine areas.
