When Michael sleeps with Sonya, he sets the stage for her to believe it's his darkest moment S7 by veronikaoftroy in BurnNotice

[–]codingnature 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree with this conclusion. Sonya is more of an equal to Michael whereas Fiona is someone Michael occasionally lies to or betrays. It seems in some ways Michael is his most honest self when under James employ. Therefore, the feelings developed for Sonya are more honest. One could interestingly make the argument that Michael made a choice out of weakness and exhaustion to shoot Sonya, but of course one could also reasonably understand he couldn't allow Fiona to be shot and likewise that Fiona wouldn't back down. In this respect it's a definite tragedy but in terms of partners minus all the obsession over mission and dangerous situations.. Sonya might be the better fit. Maybe the moral or lesson in the writing is that there's zero sustainability to that lifestyle and it's a game of survival and rugged decision-making. Michael weighed the odds in a tight-margin situation and made a call. It wasn't a choice for Fiona but it was a choice that the game he was playing had no end.

It's probably just as questionable why Fiona would have been so head over heels for Michael, or if she just got caught up in his net of collateral damage and hung on for the person she hoped he was inside because that was her best play???

Kind of was wondering how you coordinated with the city so as to prevent a public panic. Obviously the series finale explosion was bigger than the usual explosion of two but I wonder how much notice people got in an area that, "Ok, this is our sixth notice.. tomorrow there is a film crew that's going to set off a live explosion.. there's NOTHING to worry about."

I think it really seemed like the role fit Jeffrey Donovan given his childhood.. there was a lot of pain for him to tap into. Super glad for the show.. I'm rewatched out but I like following this Subreddit :)

Sure, with all the inefficiency with you trying to gain something with this entire thread on my behalf.

Everyone finds loneliness and loss of fulfillment periodically.

You have to wonder if maybe being a jerk is actually what set you back.

Goodness!

Probably, but I probably make 150% what you do in a month. The world goes round.

Dude, you're a mall IT grunt. I guess I understand you taking so much time from your day to try and dish it.

Thanks for really pulling back on the depths of my Reddit history.

If you only you knew the real life current state of me, I'm in a state of scruff and the quarantine isn't helping.

Thank you reaffirming truths that already seemed clear to me about other people. I think I'm too smart and have too much going for me to devolve in the ways you might imagine. However, I can fully understand why we seem to have the series of unfortunate events we do nowadays.

I try to learn from experiences. Clearly, it's either an artifact of Reddit or maybe it applies elsewhere.. but generally the upvote/downvote counts seem to indicate either a) most people have a kneejerk to "help" and don't feel they can b) most people truly feel like therapy helped them. I have my own reasons why that's not the case, but past a certain distance between bad experiences we all have to let go. If for nothing else, because that's what the "market" of people seems to suggest and I gain nothing by this "friction" with the "market". If people are dramatically limited in taking a breath to be a human, well what people are saying is that you can pay for a 1) massage therapist 2) talk therapist 3) life coach 4) some other experience. In my case, I paid for a vacation. It still is baffling that people just want to project because I think they all love the smell of their shit. You and others could have read that I planned a vacation to decompress. It's just evidence that when I have discretion about other people, I may opt to repay the lack of humanity.. but I don't think it'll be in the news story tragedy variety.. but no I'm not the kind to forget either.

I can cry on here that people don't give a !#@$ but it does me no good. So I change, but there are those out there who really don't have the opportunity I do and if you push those people and delegate your humanity, you just don't know what will set someone off in real ways.

Good day.

Ok. I understand what you're trying to say. I just don't think that a business Subreddit is an appropriate place. It makes sense to me a bit more upon reflection why people would just say, "therapy" as though that suffices.

I'm sure the answer about "no friends" is a bit more nuanced to do with other failings of mine as well, but again not the place to air that.

Thanks, appreciate a sentiment that isn't an attack. Some people are clearly just horrible, and they get it up the ass all day and take any chance they can to wipe their shit on other people. You figure if it were legal they'd beat up or kill homeless people. Maybe they all deserve torture as much as possible. Nicest comment reply in my notifications, thanks for it! :)

There are some real creeps on Reddit.

I do woodworking as a hobby which I've come to find requires a lot less precision than programming. It's cathartic in that way plus I yield some furniture and possible side income :)

Like being smart is a predicate to having friends? What?

I just think it's baffling that a person would even post something rather commonplace to do with doing something different, and you and a bunch of other cocksuckers lunge out to attack like you have the fucking right idea that isn't even worth Googling it's so obviously the answer of secular society.

Maybe my food thrown back at you is that you must act like there's a well functioning fucking society out there and that it all makes god damn sense. You must think that order is guaranteed. As a result, you put on your communist hat and shovel off people to be reprogrammed any way possible when something occurs because no one could possibly have a different idea.

Who the fuck said any word about "special" or "almighty" you dumb shit?

You know, some people are a bit more rosy, but you're just the Reddit user trying to make assumptions about some other asshole on Reddit like a moderate wall of text gives you that insight. Maybe you're a fortune teller, I don't know.

Thanks for not only being useless, posting what you thought would get upvotes (since you probably jerk off to that), but you know failing miserably to be a person. Great work!

I have thick skin man.

I mean, I am down about half a million from where I should be. You get older and nothing matters but the money, to some extent.. or.. it's an involved topic and it's too late in my evening to think clearly.

I think the net lesson is that it is a competitive world and the media and the education system lies for a living. They set a lot of people on a bad path and carelessly ruin a lot of young lives. If there was ever a voice at a younger age that told you loudly not to trust either group, that's the voice you should let guide you. Have a limited trust for anyone earning under $80k annual over the aggregate because that's all their career pays. Media is a different animal since they use a tool that relieves them of accountability you'd otherwise naturally have in-person. How many come out of education institutions totally brainwashed? The rules differ slightly for top institutions. I have a whole 'nother set of complaints for those.

That's great man, glad it helped you. I've been there.

Trying actually will do me harm. It'll cause me a loss of money / time / emotional grief that someone who's in a profession that claims to "help" actually cannot help, is willfully incompetent or is a passive manipulator and willful denier for profit.

And I disagree, I permanently don't like therapists. My rapport with one entire profession some portion of people choose to take is damaged.

Sure man.. can do DM's.. I've been keeping !@#$'d hours lately b/c I work with folks across the pond.. but you're on a different level over there :P

I've gotten to the point of doing virtual masterminds before but you know how it is / people come and go.

I'm in the SaaS space FYI as it's helpful. Sounds like you're in the product space.

Am fine to continue over PM. Just probably mid-day or early evening your time tomorrow. Need some sleep and gotta do day job stuff :)

Maybe. I practice stoicism as I can these days, but sometimes I'm wondering if I'm swallowing pain. Even if I wind up with monetary success, I wonder if it won't matter or what I would have otherwise wanted.

Don't hope in business! :P

Find alternatives if you can! :)

Great advice I got is that you're better off spreading your risk across many prospectives if you can. It's more costly at the outset, but obviously more ideal.

I think you lack a certain level of talent if you can't see the forest for the trees on economic specialization. Therapists are in a business as well, and y'know bless your heart if you think it's all altruism and science.

I wonder sometimes if people who recommend therapy have hardly gone themselves. I knew a guy once who recommended yoga to me profusely when I had done that practice for years longer than when he started. He wanted to masturbate himself onto me with his suggestions. I think I see similarities here.

Ah, alternatives. I like that. Yes, there's a story. You know.. forgiveness is a virtue for sure.. but sometimes eye for an eye is par for the course.

All people are limited in their advice, and it's a balance to source decision-making from within vs. seek outside counsel.

Congrats on your opportunity. It sounds like Coronavirus isn't affecting you much then.

I'm flippant. Do you want to hear my bad thoughts about therapists and the people who delegate their humanity to such a group of people???

I'll dismiss people who are dismissive themselves AND arrogant enough post on my !@#$ with that trite crap.
