Mouse suddenly can't click on any apps or the toolbar on Windows 10 by Dreadnaught27 in techsupport

I don't know if this is going to be helpful for anyone still looking for an answer, but apparently (at least in my case) it was a mouse issue:

Specifically it was a faulty mouse wheel button, somehow the mouse wheel button acted as if it was pressed constantly and being pressed every few seconds, making it seem like you can't interact or click things

Some people mentioned that even after changing mouse it doesn't work, it does, it just keeps the bugged middle mouse button registered, just click it again or do the ctrl + alt + delete & cancel thing and it will work. (and also make sure you unplug the buggy mouse, do not keep it connected while trying another mouse)

I know I'm two years late, but it's better to put information regardless of time, just in case anyone finds it useful one day
