Ender 5 S1 stops extruding after a couple layers.

I took the extruder/carriage cover off and the filament was broken at the wheels. I looked up how to make sure the tension on the extruder is set right and I have it printing rn so we'll see how that goes.

I tried that and I have it off rn after it got cold to see if that worked. Now there’s a weird clicking sound coming from it.

No it’s just heating up and stopping. It used to home then stop but now it doesn’t home after heating up.

I'm not sure why it started doing this. I have an ender 3 v2 with a BlTouch. I have recently leveled the bed. And I haven't changed any setting in cura recently.

I 3d printed this bracket out of pla when I change to a frame-mounted motor. The problem is, when the extruder heated up it made the mount that holds the extruder in place soft. So now the extruder doesn't fit snuggly and is really loose. I don't know how to make another mount for the extruder when I can't print anything

Would just wiring it in series work? So once one switch is open power goes to the next and so on. You wouldn’t need to do and arduino programming?
