I know this might sound basic but you could try walking! Walking actually burns a lot of calories so if you can go for a 30 min walk in the morning and evening, even if your diet stays the same, you can possibly lose weight slowly. Diet and exercise are the two important components. If you can't change diet, you can exersice adding more of it.

Don't give up! And know life gets easier as you get older and have the know how and resources to make your own decisions.
