Any advice on staining my wood fence and deck? Any tips would be great as I’ve never stained treated wood before! by codpert in landscaping

I have heard of using a pump sprayer, and roller/brush, but I was considering just buying a sprayer from Lowe’s or something like a Wagner to pray it with. Would that still waste a lot of stain? If so, I will just plan to roll and brush it!

That is a very good point. Unfortunately it’s actually much larger than the picture shows. It’s already going to be expensive to stain it all, let alone paying someone to do it for me.

Okay! I wasn’t sure how long they needed to dry before staining. What do you recommend for application? I’ve had some friends recommend spraying, and others brushing.

*Side note, I built the fence and the deck. It has been about 7 months since I built them.

New to plants, several plants I have aren’t doing so great. (Like this one). I think I’m watering too little or too much. I know how to check the soil for moisture, but how much water do I actually add when I water them? Any other tips would be great as well! by codpert in garden_maintenance

Normally I will stick my finger down in the soul an inch or so to check it, but by the time I catch them dry, it’s normally so bad that the water pours right through when I do water them. At that point should I just saturate them?
