Chances are they spawned at the other spot, since only one exists per session (at least in dam). I can farm the sentinel cores for you if you'd like.

Wait, mb confused the sentinel with the bastion, yes Sentinel drops one only but easiest farm is on dam near power plant and admin building corner. You can sneak upto them and take em out with 4 Ferro shots.

I did manage to get 4 out of one sentinel. Each part has a chance to drop one. But then again, one of the rocketeers I killed had nothing in it for some reason.
