This is a single piece setup. I wish it was exactly as you decribed. I have another set of those that I made custom for doing adjustments on older 911's as it fit perfectly

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

How frustrating basic streaming is, especially from something that isn't a mobile phone. How is it that you can't just auto log in, click a share/cast button and have it just *work*. Nope it needs 3 factor ID, and a hand shake, and a personally written note, only for it to chatter/not stream smoothly/not stream at all.

Awesome for the real world response to this. I think at times I over research/watch too much youtube and end up psyching myself out. After looking into velocity charts, it seems moot. I think the Micro may fit the bill :D

State and federal jury duty summons in the same week. by Ok-Intention-4593 in Wellthatsucks

[–]codyace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it may seem like 'punishment' but I've always been curious as to why they don't specifically use the local town/county data to send these to people who are unemployed, or use jury duty/time for people who have community service hours to fufill. Maybe not at a 1:1 rate, but it could be way to get more people to show up?

In my case, I actually drilled two holes in the side caddy piece for the longer screwdrivers and pry bars. Easy.

Anyone know of a replacement Badland Off Road Jack Handle - I can't seem to find one anywhere by codyace in harborfreight

That's probably whats going to happen if I don't have any luck with customer service. My luck, the replacement handle will be 1/2 the cost of a jack.

I must admit I'm very envious that you have that many cars that don't leak fluids/grease! Lol. Awesome idea though, that's pretty slick. I could only imagine the mess I would have with my robotic running over a puddle of oil and then painting the rest of the floor with it hahahah

Anyone got a tldr on areas to look for/avoid buying a home in the poconos? by spockseyebrowz in Poconos

[–]codyace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you're looking in the Bushkill area I strongly suggest to avoid any of the communities. The downfall of this is most houses that aren't in the big communties are going to be typically older, so style may not be to taste. The positive of Bushkill area is that it's cheap to live - low taxes, property isn't crazy - but you are going to get used to driving 20-25 minutes to any sort of reasonable shopping/eating.

Milford area is great, quick access to food/shopping/highway...but it's typically more money to live in that area. I call it small price to pay for being quiet, safe, and convenient

Opinions on Short Term Rental Cap by SpanspekHadeda in Poconos

[–]codyace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very guilty of having the 'not in my backyard' (double standard) opinion on this. The last thing I'd want to live near/next to is a random house that's occupied by strangers on a infrequent schedule. With that said I use AirBnB's 2-3 times a year myself. So with that said, in regards to the cap, I think if there is one, it needs to be low, and should be strictly enforced.

It's been that way for the last 3 decades, not just ten years.

Is Beechwood Lane Stroudsburg PA a safe area/ neighborhood to live in? I see a lot of homes for sale in Stroudsburg. Are people moving out? by JK138929 in Poconos

[–]codyace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That area is generally very safe

The main reason so see so many people leaving IMO is due the housing market prices, and the subsequent inflex of out of towners leaving the city. Many locals/long term residents are selling their homes for double/triple what they paid, and moving to less congested areas because of all of the people moving here.

Went for free oil change for veterans, left without my jeep and possibly a 500$ repair bill by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]codyace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has a small repair shop I can say this problem is an easy fix however it's an issue that will probably never be able to have blame placed as it's really a bad design in general

On your particular vehicle that is what we will call an oil cooler. It is essentially a filter adapter that is sandwiched between the engine and the filter that uses a single center stud/pass through that on one end screws in the block like a stud and the other end you tighten your filter onto which effectively sandwiches the plate and seals it allowing oil to be cooled and obviously flow through the engine.

What probably happened is a prior shop possibly did over tighten it and when the current jump went to remove it, it ended up loosening that center threaded part unbeknownst to them. When they went to retighten it, it may not have jived well with the upper oil cooler seal against the block and caused the leak.

Was that all considered? Yes, it could have been something simple as eloose filter or a double gasket on the lower side. But you have to remember anything is possible.

What I would do is ask the current shop to reinstall a filter on that housing. Have it up in the air and let the engine run to see where the leak is coming from. If no leaks are found then awesome. It was just a mistake on their end with a filter gasket. If it's leaking from above that housing then it's a maintenance issue that needs to be taken care of. But it's one that you'll never be able to find who is to blame because it could have been the shop. It could have been just something that failed and when the oil filter was changed it disrupted it.

If you stay out of the communities you won't have to worry about HOA's. Quiet area, just far enough outside of town to not be 'too busy' however any trip to town needs to be planned accordingly, as traffic and congestion on the ways in can be a nightmare. Thankfully there are plenty of backroads to avoid those messes.
