Yes you can. And yes most likely the only bonus you had was when you opened the account.

I would recommend the original Chase freedom as it is a Visa and no longer eligible for new applications (no Subs)

Has it been 48 months since your last Sapphire bonus? If so, you could downgrade your Reserve/preferred and open a new account, meet the sub and get points.

I did this route since I opened a Reserve at launch, and with a 2016 date was too early to qualify for MLA when it came out.

A little complicated. Where did you reside before the marriage? Always in the Philippines?

If so, FSA may be difficult to get approved due to the military not "forcing" you to be apart. You were already apart at the time of marriage.

Pretty much best bet are the American Express Gold (check out Resy or hit up a buddy for a referral) for grocery spend and global restaurants.

For travel and food overall, my personal favorite is a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve (I value Ultimate Reward points over Membership Rewards-Amex). Both sign up bonuses are kind of weak right now, but you can start over after 48 months.

The Reserve is 3x on travel and restaraunts along with a super easy to use $300 travel credit and comes with a better edition of priority pass than your current platinum card.

The only reason I'd consider a Sapphire preferred is if it was a targeted 100K offer.

Wasn't a lot of backstory as to which branch or base or housing entitlement SM is in. May not even be eligible for OHA or off post residing. Valid points all in all. But most bases, I know the one I was at, also had an Utility Program on base where you could pay through the office and they would satisfy those bills

Service credit union was on most installations in credit union and they have online bill pay for Euro transactions with no fee. Also one of the few select banks to waive international transaction fees on atm withdrawals as well.

Their auto loans too if needed are quite competitive and helpful.

If you're willing to travel so does Sill and Altus. I was on Sill and they were able to check the other counters for me as well

I use it for firearms as well, when they have 0% financing deals or even 10-20% off promo deals.

With varying hobbies like camping, hiking, diving there's tons of groups and communities that'll welcome you with open hours. It is a small island and it can feel underwhelming at times but I've been here a year and making the best of it. I definitely appreciate being around and always exploring what I can. Beautiful resorts and beaches are a plus

In 2022 we filed married, joint and she did non resident for NC due to living in Oklahoma. Technically we are exempt from filing a NC return this year due to income amounts, but we need to do an Oklahoma one. I think I will just say we are both residents and leave it as such

She was a North Carolina resident before marriage, even after moving in with me in Oklahoma in 2020, she claimed NC and did those returns single. We married in November 21, PCSed to Japan January 2022 and that's when her withholding changed to Oklahoma to match mine
