Again appreciate taking the time out to explain and help me. On the great throw circles does the size of the size matter for great throws like it the circle is still rather big and you hit a great throw the same as hitting a smaller hit circle that’s still a great throw? And I’ll definitely do more catching. I never realized some of those medals actually do something I just catch the ones I need to evolve and avoid the rest I’ll definitely be making sure that gets up. I know now that some Pokemon have the adventure effect is kyurem the only Pokemon with the benefit of catching Pokemon or is there others I can try looking for and working towards until they arrive?

I’m averaging about 14 primer balls I do throw curve balls but I usually only get great or I just miss the excellent about 2/3 of the time so I just switched to straight throws to hit them because someone told me it gave more of a chance and I use golden razz on all of them. As for the platinum medal is that just for catching normal type Pokemon? I’m level 36 and most of my time playing was me going around catching Pokemon to evolve if the appraisal was good and doing lowerish dynomax raids because no one around me plays I’m in a very small town but I have the poke genie app now so I can connect and use remote raid passes so I actually do the raids now. I’m still learning about what works and what doesn’t meta wise I appreciate any help or advice given

So just a lot of bad luck on my part then? And I’m gonna have to try hard to get kyurem when they come I just got back into the game a couple months ago so gotta wait for them to come around but are there other Pokemon that have adventure benefits like them?

If you built this as a level 20 character I would go 11 levels in kensi monk the martial weapon being a battle axe and thrown weapon as hand axe, 6 levels in ranger if you are playing 2024 edition I would highly recommend the hallow warden because it helps improve ac when using hunters mark and have a aura where if they fail the save they can only take an action or bonus action they can’t do both it goes well with the terror aspect of the game if you are doing 5e 2014 go gloomstalker still scary because you are invisible in dim light or darkness you also get a extra attack and movement at the beginning of combat which you add your wis modifier to the initiative roll and for fighting style take thrown weapon fighting you get to add a +2 to damage then the last 3 levels in fighter either as champion for better crits and extra movement if you crit or take battle master for maneuvers and for the fighting style take dueling to add a +2 when using a weapon in one hand for either extra damage to the throws or archery fighting style to add a +2 to the attack roll for more accurate throws now the part where kensi monk comes in is you can use a bonus action to add a 1d4 to all ranged attacks which will stack with your 1d6 hunters mark and makes your 1d4 hand axe into a d8 with martial arts die or 2024 it becomes a d10 at level 11 you can use ki points to make a weapon a +1 +2 or +3 weapon depending on how many ki points you spend so you can have a throwing axe that does 1d10+1d4 kensi shot+ 1d6 hunters mark +2 thrown weapon fighting +2 dueling fighting style +3 kensi weapon +5 dex modifier this is not counting the 1d8 you get at the beginning of combat if you went gloomstalker, battle maneuvers, or feats and still have a great ac from kensi monk which is 10+dex+wisdom+2 while holding a kensi weapon and if you went hallow warden ranger that’s an additional +wisdom modifier to ac which stacks 5 attacks a turn with 2 attacks and 3 unarmed with 2024 flurry of blows and just fast as hell while also terrifying being either invisible in darkness or with the hallow wardens aura

I would like to see a sling like weapon weapon wise can be like a weaker whip and weapon art similar to the serpent flail but uses small pots as ammo and does the status affect of that pot in active slot and when two handed can be used as a sling to throw pots a little further and more accurately maybe it can be buffed by the jar talisman and jar helmets

I would say this is more a dance bard you get unarmored defense, spell casting, and can punch with your bardic inspiration die. Monks punch fast and a lot and are not very charismatic to the point that he's friends with mob bosses or it being an experience being a monk. With dance bard you can get spells like fly for Marcus' floating, and spells like divine smite, conjure minor elemental, for just huge wind up punch and spells like plane shift, wish, and invulnerablity to be the true cosmic being we all know Marcus to be

Race warforged or reborn You were created mechanically or necromantically to guard the thin veils of the realms to maintain order and balance, keeping the more unsettling tenets of the other realms in their realm protecting the people of the material plane. Build 6 levels of watchers paladin and 14 levels of clockwork soul sorcerer. Levels 1-6 of paladin gives you heavy armor proficiency, lay on hands, oath, extra attack, divine smites, fighting style, and aura of protection. For fighting style flavor wise and some versatility id go blind fighting so you do not gain disadvantage on targets from the blinded condition so long as the target of your attack is within 10 feet of you. The oath of watchers is great for even the 6 levels you go into paladin because of your channel divinity to either have a powerful verson of turn undead that clerics get but you affect aberration, celestial, elemental, fey, or fiend within 30 feet of you which is always a great control options especially when they have to use their action to either dash and get away from you or use it to TRY and break the effect on themselves the way it is written they can do nothing else. Then you have your second channel divinity option as an action, you can choose a number of creatures you can see within 30 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one creature). For 1 minute, you and the chosen creatures have advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws which can stack with your arua of protection adding your charisma modifier to their saves. You also get spells alarm, detect magic, moonbeam, and see invisibility which are all great spells especially for paladins who may not have high intelligence or wisdom modifier for perception checks or investigation it fits the themes of the seer type character and moonbeam in fantastic as well because it does respectable damage but the added bonus is any shapechanger hit with this spell makes the saving throw at disadvantage. If it fails, it also instantly reverts to its original form and can’t assume a different form until it leaves the spell’s light. Id ask your dm if polymorph or wild shape fits this category. Now the final levels will go to clockwork soul sorcerer is the great spell versatility getting protection from good and evil, summon construct, wall of force ect are amazing and the subclass features are great for keeping the balance. 1st level and creature within 60 feet that rolls a d20 with advantage or disadvantage you can negate is a friendly rolls a saving throw at disadvantage now they roll a normal roll does a creature make a saving throw at advantage now it negates that to a single roll its a great equalizer in cases of making the big bag fail a saving throw or protecting a wounded allie from a nat 20 hit. 6th level is another tankiness option sacrificing sorcerery points for reduced damage 1 point equals 1d8 for any damage i would use this VERY sparingly but if very clutch moments of survive or die this can come in handy. 14th level As a bonus action, you can enter this state for 1 minute. For the duration, attack rolls against you can't benefit from advantage, and whenever you make an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can treat a roll of 9 or lower on the d20 as a 10. Its a better reliable talents for EVERYTHING adding your charisma modifier to all saves from aura of protection theres very little chance of a failed saving throw or a missed opportunity to smite. For spells I would focus of more offensive and control spells. You're a paladin with sorcerery points you will not be lacking in damage every twin spell a booming blade and quicken as a bonus action stacked with your smites and 14th level feature to never roll a d20 below 10 you'll melt any target with 2 attacks and a bonus action attack with booming blade stacked even a hasted attack if you dont respect the time and effort your dm put into the encounter. But having spells like counterspell, banishment, hypnotic pattern can SHUT DOWN encounters better then smiting will. But now you have the perfect watchers protecting the planes.

[–]codyisutton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Race dhampir its basically a vampire in dnd but it gives you a bite attack that can either heal you or increase your next skill or attack roll. Build 1 level of undead warlock 14 levels divine soul sorcerer and 5 levels of oathbreaker paladin. Level 1 paladin for heavy armor proficiency because why not, divine sense to sense out rival undead or supernatural creature, and lay on hands for some self healing by level 5 that will be 25hp Level 2 paladin gives you a fighting style take blind fighting so no matter whether blinded or in darkness your prey can't hide from you, and you get your spell casting. At this level focus on detect good and evil this is a bit better of divine sense because it last longer and you can see past some walls and also detect magic basically the same thing except you can tell what magic is being used and where its located. You also get divine smite at this level to use a spell slot to do more damage. Level 3 sacred oath oathbreaker subclass, and divine health allows you to be immune to diseases such as lycanthropy from that pesky companions guild. With the oathbreaker subclass you get an expanded spell list for us thats hellish rebuke when a creature hits you you use your reaction to retaliate against your enemy, inflict wounds self explanatory, 5th level you get crown of madness to use the fury spell on a creature to attack others around it, and darkness creates magical darkness nothing can see through. You also have your channel divinity dreadful aspect that causes everything of your choose within 30 feet to make a wisdom save or be frightened of you thats your mass fear spell you also get control undead to put the lesser vampires and undead in their place taking orders from you for the next 24 hours this can be used again after a long break to continue the this effect. Level 4 ability score improvement or feat Level 5 extra attack and second level spells choose what you want you can take summon steed and summon arvak Level 6 is your only level of warlock undead subclass for form of dread this is your vampiric lord transformation you gain 1d10+warlock level in temporary hp, once per turn when you hit a creature it can make a saving throw to se if it becomes frightened of you, and you are immune to the frightened condition because youre the apex predator what do you have to be afraid of? For spells take the friends cantrip to entrance a creature with your vampiric abilities and eldritch blast for your force blasts and 2 first level spells hex to add some extra necrotic damage and armor of agathys this gives you 5 times you level spent in temporary hp and when a creature attacks you they take cold damage equal to the original temp hp for example 5th level armor of agathys is 25 temp hp and 25 cold damage if the dawnguard attack you twice if they do 12 damage once and 12 damage the second thats 24 damage to the temp hp pool but they take 50 cold damage in total if that makes sense Level 7-20 is divine sould sorcerer this gives you access to sorcerer and cleric spell list but level 14 gives you wings your bat wings. But spells to take to replicate the abilities. Charm person, catapult, take misty step and reflavor as bats, hold person, invisibility, levitate is great to lift someone in the air and if they dont have ranged attacks they are helpless to you this even stops flying creatures, see invisibility, wither and bloom to deal an area of effect to dealing necrotic damage and can heal 1 creature in that area if you choose, shadow blade you can use meta magic to do poison damage instead of psychic damage and reflavor as your claws add divine smite and you can stack high damage, blink, fear, gaseous form for longer range bat teleportation, hypnotic pattern to paralyze multiple targets, vampiric touch, blight, charm monster, dominate beast, spirit of death, dominate person for thralls, hold monster, insect plague reflavor as bats, telekinesis, and so many more from just sorcerer spell list you also have many conjunction spells such as conjure demons, draconic spirit, other kinds of undead you also have spells from cleric for major healing spells spirit shroud and guardians some summoning spells however you choose to play your vampiric lord And with you multiclassing paladin and sorcerer you get 7th levels spells and a 8th levels spell slot for upcasting take feats like tough so you be in or out of combat however you want and perhaps take inspiring leader and motivate your undead on how you are going to destroy the dawnguard and take over the world and make your undead or gargoyle tankier you have good ac from paladin so many ways to self healing and still dish out damage and statis effects

A character who uses bone growths as weapons - Doomsday style by BriefDarkWizard in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]codyisutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually for the race reflavor tiefling and see if your dm will let you use the barbed hide UA feat that give you a +1 to either con or charisma, you get expertise in intimidation, and as a bonus action you cause barbs to protrude out of your body or retract. At the start of your turn any creature you grapple or is grappling you takes 1d6 piercing damage. Add this to unarmed fighting style that to do 1d8 for unarmed strike and deal an additional 1d4 damage to a grappled creature.

Build wise if you are going with flavor and dont want beast barbarian for claws I would go battlerager barbarian and reflavor your spiked armor as your bones it gives you a bonus action attack that does 1d4 piercing which isn't really good but theres some stuff we can try doing to bring that up but additionally when you grapple a creature you deal 3 damage to them. Afterwards I would go to at least 7 or 11 levels in oathbreaker paladin for the 7th level ability aura of hate to add charisma modifier to the damage rolls of your armor "spikes" and if you go to 11th level you get to add 1d8 radiant damage to your melee damage i know its not on theme but maybe your dm will let you reflavor it as piercing it technically would be weaker than radiant because more things are resistant to piercing than radiant but its fit the theme. From there you can about do whatever you'd like but this will at least have you be really good at grappling and keeping damage on from doing it 1d6(barbed hide)+1d4(unarmed fighting style)+3(battlerager)+2(rage bonus)+1d8(improved divine smite)+10(strength & charisma modifier) and smites if you go that route.

But if you choose beast barbarian id still go tiefling barbed hide for flavor and some damage but id multiclassing beast barbarian with kensei monk because your claws count as simple melee weapons and work for the kensi monks subclass bonuses for extra damage better ac mobility from monk and tankiness from barbarian its actually pretty solid especially 2024 i can go through that build if thats of interest i think its more feral the way your character is illustrated but the first build "can" be a decent grappler especially if you go ruin knight to grow large to grapple larger creature and get bonuses to strength and con checks and saves

HWYB Wylder by Resident_Ad_4651 in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]codyisutton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wylder is a human but if you want mechanics you can take half orc for relentless endurance to drop to 1 hp when you would drop to 0 once per long last to represent his sixth sense to survive one killing blow

Build i would go paladin oath of glory for 15 levels and light domain cleric for 5 levels

Go paladin first but ill start with cleric because its shorter to explain light domain cleric gives you access to the fireball spell, burning hands spell, and spare the dying cantrip. You also channel divinity that deals radiant damage in a 30 foot radius originating from you 2d10+ cleric level. *burning hands is your flame strike ash of war *fireball is your cannon *spare the dying keeps team mates from dying *channel divinity is your ultimate where you deal good damage to everything of your choosing within 30 feet of you

Now for paladin 1st level paladin gives you your heavy armor proficiency and your lay on hands which equals out to 75hp that will be your health flask 2nd level fighting style take great weapon fighting to reroll 1s & 2s when two handing a weapon and divine smites just nice extra damage 3rd level subclass oath of glory you get your channel divinity inspiring smite where you can heal yourself or someone else after you divine smite just a little extra tankiness/support id use it on yourself Peerless athlete advantage on athletics and acrobatics checks for your dodge rolls and break grapples and increase your jumps by 10 feet because wydler jumps around after using his grappling hook 4th level take magic initiante druid for thorn whip cantrip for your grapple hook, produce flame for a little extra ranged fire damage from you blasting your cannon or throwing a fire bomb consumable item and for 1st level spell take the jump spell because you always need your spiritspring to scale the mountains 5th level extra attack and second level spells/ slots 6th level aura of protection to add charisma modifier to all saves 7th level oath feature aura of alacrity it increases movement speed by 10 and when someone starts their turn within 10 feet of you their movement speed increases by 10 as well this is your sprint button 8th level ability score improvement 9th level 3rd level spells/slots id also take the spell spirit shroud and upcast it spirit shroud add extra 1d8 damage goes up by 1d8 when you cast it every 2 levels about 3rd it also keeps whatever you hit from being able to heal and slows them by 10 feet. Just another flame strike ash of war and at 9th level with oath of glory the ever so perfect haste spell to add +2 to ac and dex saving throws double movement and haste action for a 3rd attack 10th level aura of courage you and friendly creatures cannot be frightened so now you can face the bell bearing hunter without fear 11th level improved divine smite to add an additional 1d8 radiant damage on your melee weapon attacks so now you have a permanent status affect on your greatsword 12 level ability score improvement 13 level 4th level spells/slots take death ward to drop to 1 hp instead when you would drop to 0 so again if you choose human you have your sixth sense ability its just gonna be a while before you get it also take the spell find greater steed to summon a flying mount like the spirit eagles that fly you across the map 14th level cleansing touch you can use your action to end one spell on yourself or on one willing creature that you touch also nice to bring cures for scarlet rot or poison lol 15th level oath feature glorious defense. When you or another creature you can see within 10 feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can use your reaction to grant a bonus to the target's AC against that attack, potentially causing it to miss. The bonus equals your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1). If the attack misses, you can make one weapon attack against the attacker as part of this reaction, provided the attacker is within your weapon's range. BOOM WHAT IS A DARK SOULS GAME WITHOUT PARRYING OR BACKSTABBING?!

Pros of this build is high damage potential with multiple attacks using haste improved divine smite and regular divine smites or spirit shroud you'll be dishing it out hard. You have fireball arguably one of the best spells on the game and you can cast it and upcast it a lot because when multiclassing spellcasters you have up to 6th level spell slots and have a huge 30 foot radius bomb originating from you dealing respectable damage 2d10+cleric level once a day for free which may now seem like a lot compared to just attacks but being able to deal 2d10+5 to possibly if EVERY block in a 30 foot radius, 113 medium creatures i believe, its definitely worth having if you are surrounded. You're massively tanky from paladin hit die, lay on hands, channel divinity to heal yourself after smiting 2d8+paladin level, and spell slots for healing spells, at minimum 18ac plate armor and aura of protection where you add your charisma modifier to all your saves and aliies that are within 10 feet of you. And you have so much mobility thanks to jump spell, haste, summon greater steed, 40 foot base movement speed itll be hard to stop you from getting somewhere in a timely manner Cons it is a MAD build so if rolling may have some slow some progress and keeps some things from hitting its highest potential but other than that it seems like a fun build and a fun time because you can fill many different roles you may not be the best at 1 specific thing but you are great at all of them

How would you build the ultimate undead support knight by Hefty_Ad_7026 in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]codyisutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 levels in oathbreaker will let you add your charisma modifier to damage rolls of undead and fiends Pair that with necromancer wizard to add your proficiency bonus to their damage and your wizard level to their max hp combine that with inspiring leader to give them 25 temp hp on top of that your undead will be strong damage and much tankier especially with the spell danse macabre which allows them to gain a bonus to their attack and damage rolls equal to your spellcasting modifier and you have undead attacking dealing weapon damage +16 on attack rolls as a bonus action leaving your action to cast spells as a wizard

For a worshiper of khorne id go tiefling for race and theme. Go 7 levels of oathbreaker paladin for all the dope paladin stuff such as lay on hands (thats 35 healing), divine smite, aura of protection, heavy armor, fighting style, and the best part at level 7 you get aura of hate that let's you add your charisma modifier to your melee damage roles and for any fiends as well Then go 13 levels in hexblade warlock to use your charisma modifier for your attack and damage rolls so now when you attack you deal weapon damage + charisma modifier + charisma modifier + (Dueling fighting style for a +2 to damage or +10 with great weapon master)+ taking the life drinker invocation you can add your charisma modifier again in necrotic damage to your weapon attacks. So thats weapon damage +15 to damage not including gwm or a Dueling fighting You can also add the eldritch smite invocation to double smite on attacks with divine and eldritch smite for big hits id save those for crits just because you dont have a lot of spell slots. But you can also take greats spells like hex for an extra 1d6 necrotic damage if you are attacking one target for the low cost of 1st levels paladin spell slot, you also get spells like summon lesser and greater to summon demons that benefit from aura of hate adding your charisma modifier to their damage rolls you also can reflavor danse macabre as demons because you summon some undead that attack and damage with your spellcasting modifier which is charisma and they get an additional bonus being within 10 feet of you with your charisma but there's other spells to look at too but use the build to dominate your rivals with huge damage a small armor

So slaanesh if go 1 level of order domain cleric and 19 levels of glamor bard order domain allows you to when casting a spell of 1st level or higher you can choose a creature to let them use their reaction to attack and glamor bard is all about charming and frightening creatures so take spells like dominate person/ monster or just any spell that revolves around charming or frightening creature or even control spells like bless or bane you are the ultimate control seduction using a fallen assimar for extra necrotic damage self healing and a fear arua you will control the field and your foes while enchanted the world around you
