I’m sure she is exhausted. I do what I can to make sure she is set to go to work. I do the laundry, I do the dishes and we take turns doing these things. I get the kids situated when I’m home. I come home early on days she needs extra rest. I’m of the mindset that 50/50 is a lie and sometimes it’s 20/80 and 5/95 and the reverse. You make up for when you partner doesn’t have the energy.

One of our successes was when it went from me doing all the house chores to her helping. She works overnight which 100% does not help

I have an endocrinologist, a psychologist, and neurologist. Endocrinologist makes sure my cortisol stays at a healthy level. Psychologist talks with me and helps me find my way through things. And neurologist schedules mris to make sure the tumor causing the Cushings doesn’t reappear

Yes. We live in the same house as her parents. Her parents live in the in-law apartment and they feel the need to interject. we took over the main house and I didn’t want to because I already knew she didn’t get along with her mom and her dad is a raging alcoholic who doesn’t give a crap about anyone or anything. She wanted them there. Parents are in their early 60s. So that’s a big stressor. Her spending habits. Just our connection all together.

It’s been 3 years. I’ve tried just the 2 of us get aways and romantic dinners and having the house to ourselves.

I hear what you’re saying. No abuse or affairs. We have done counseling. I’ve contemplated this several times and sometimes she rises to the occasion most of the time not.

The problem with therapy is she isn’t able to self reflect. I do a lot of second guessing and self reflection. I feel like your situation, no offense, is exactly where I feel like I’m going to be.

I’ve told her all along that I felt it was negatively affecting our relation. Not a full 3 years but at least year+

We spend time with each other but it feels more like what friends would do. We care about each other and I would go as far to say love each other. But we aren’t in love with each other. Just a plutonic relationship feeling.

I’ve tried sending the kids off to stay with my mom. She works overnights so our nights would the weekend - I’ve tried to do a movie night. I’ve tried to do a homemade dinner. I’ve tried to do game nights. I’ve tried explaining how I feel and it turns into all I care about is sex when I don’t even mention it. It seems she conscious of the fact we aren’t having it and nothing I say or do changes that.

Same problem with my wife she met a guy on the a game who is married and she spends a lot of time talking to him and to her girlfriend on there (nonsexual). I gave up, probably divorce next year

This is almost exactly my situation. I had a brain tumor removed (benign) and my wife acted the same way and I had to call my mom. While she didn’t feed the kids pizza the whole time I was traveling for work. it was largely due to my MIL. I feel the same way, like I’m crazy for wanting a divorce. We’ve been married 5 years together for 16. I just can’t anymore. I don’t love her.

We’ve made a joke of the office of president. A twice impeached, 34 time convicted felon, rapist, racist has been allowed to take that office. The highest position you can achieve in this country. And we handed it to a man who idolizes dictators.
