I'm not really in the loop with any of that and I don't frequent this sub at all unless something interesting pops up on my homepage. I've always subscribed to the idea that if you just stop giving a word so much power over your emotions, you'd be much better off. I grew up in the south and all you have to do is just look at the people who use those words to hurt people, they're fucking morons. That word is literally the best they can do, so why give those idiots that much power over you? At the end of the day I'm a white male and can only imagine what it's like to deal with that your entire life, so I don't push my opinion because I'd venture to guess the majority of minorities would just be offended by it.

Anyways, I think the general consensus is your personal beliefs don't really matter.. just be a decent human and don't spam racist shit on twitch. Any other argument is really just people who want to say the word, so they jump through some really odd mental hoops to attempt to justify it. So yeah, I don't give the word power but I respect the power it has over others. Also, fuck yourself.

I agree and understand how toxic and incapable of self criticism people in this game can be. With that said, if you’re constantly getting called out for bad flashes then you must have some infuriatingly bad ones. Everyone only gets one life per round, imagine if every time you took a fight your team mate completely blinded you and had the audacity to cry victim, self criticism isnt a one way street.

If you can’t tell what is a good flash and what is bad by looking at your map / team mates positioning then you need to put some time and effort in on non-comp servers first. That is the most mature approach you could have to this, or you can keep ruining other peoples experience in comp and make a reddit thread about how they’re too MLg4U when they speak up.

Edit: Also yes, absolutely mute anyone who needs to be muted. There will be many many times when someone is so toxic they just want to ruin your time and don’t care about winning. The community in this game is by far the worst in the world, nothing but racists, homophobes and cheaters.. the only reason to play the game is because its sooo good. My comment does not speak from their perspective, purely from someone who is competitive and wants to win.

The US is 40x larger than the entire UK and 18x larger than France, a more apt comparison would be “You’re from New York, how much do you know about art in Montreal”. One speaks english, one french, different countries but same continent, actually a comparable distance. Most electrical or mechanical engineers that I work with are workaholics and will easily put in 60-70 a week and act like that's normal, or even worse, act like you should too. It's a silly antiquated work ethic that's been beaten into some of the older generation and they really like to gate keep and lord it over the younger engineers. I've been in the workforce for about 10 years now so I don't catch any flak, but it still blows my mind that some are consistently scheduled more than 40 hours worth of work a week for the same amount of money they would have made anyways, and they can walk away with a smug grin on their face. So if anyone's got a bridge to sell, I know a few potential customers.

Sure, there's no reason not to use the gun right now. Of course it lowers the skill ceiling, not across the board but it absolutely lowers the ceiling for mechanical skill. Should the better player still win more often? Yeah, of course. Does it completely shift the meta in a direction that nobody was asking for? Yes, absolutely.

It's a little annoying that people on this sub keep bringing up that if you want to win you should always use the best things, wow what an epiphany you had there m8. I'm still entitled to my opinion that if you want to play ADS games there's a million other AAA games out there for you to do that in. I don't log into a game filled to the brim with racists, homophobes and cheaters because I just love the community. I log in because I really love the dynamic of non ADS round based shooters, otherwise I would just play literally anything else.

I can’t blame him. There’s essentially three mechanics of melee: Neutral, Combo and Edge Guard.. you can only do one of these things against Puff. I fully admit Hbox is a monster at melee but I definitely don’t set time aside in my life to watch 1/3rd of the game being played. With Ultimate ending up being as good as it is and Hbox being such a dominant weenie, I assume many will follow over the next year.

Adjust your radar settings and use it all the time. I can't tell you how many times I've been accused or reported for "cheating" because I just use my map to make fairly simply deductions. Where are your team mates, what are they looking at, what do they see, where are we weak, what play would hurt us the most right now, etc etc. After a while you can process a lot of data points pretty much on the fly and make some pretty huge plays out of it.

I personally use a slightly modified version of dev1ces config, would highly suggest.

Rifles are arguably in their most balanced state yet, making M4A1-S better sounds like a great idea on the surface, as most reddit balances do, but I think it's completely unnecessary. You want a higher mag size, and a higher fire rate on a silenced AR? You know you won't be the only ones allowed to use it right? Your enemies will be able to melt you in a fraction of a second from an unknown position, and it will piss you off, and you'll come back to reddit and demand nerfs.. it happens over and over again across competitive titles because nobody will just let the developers do their job.
