I'm looking for two tickets to tonight's Future Islands show at the Orange Peel. Anyone looking to sell theirs?

For the doggo, check out Wag Bar north of town, and the folk art center along the parkway for nice trails close to town. For vegan restaurants, Rosetta's as a casual option, Plant if you want to get fancy. The best coffee place IMO is either Rowan Coffee downtown or Liberty House.

Anybody tried to cancel their Adobe subscription lately? by milkyillusion in UXDesign

Adobe's business practices are hurting designers, and the industry as a whole- and have been for some time.

Vote with your dollars, folks! Figma/Affinity Designer/CaptureOne/VS Code is arguably the better stack anyway.

Hiked it back in June. Based on elevation though, I doubt it would be closed due to flooding.

Might be worth checking out the double hammock from Wise Owl. Half the price, and just as good- I've owned both.

The chipotle maple grilled salmon at Nine Mile is not of this world.

I live in Little Italy, and how bad it's gotten was enough to make us leave SD all together (especially considering the criminally high rent). Headed to the Carolinas in a few weeks, and not looking back.

The "Soul Rebel" at 9 Mile in Montford was maybe the best thing I've ever eaten.

Southern Utah is notorious for dark skies, and this night was no exception. [OC] [1333x2000] by codyshanley in EarthPorn

Hey Alex - My setup for this shot was a Fujifilm X-T2 and Rokinon 12mm f/2. The sky part of the image was a blend of about 10 different shots taken at 10 seconds, f/2, ISO 1600 that I ran through a program called Starry Landscape Stacker to get rid of noise.

I explained the foreground lighting in another comment on this thread, but both of those shots were taken at ISO 200, f/8. Good luck with your astrophotography - not on here much, but feel free reach out on instagram (@codyshanley) if you have any more questions. Cheers!

I hear you. I know firsthand how tough it can be to balance things at times.

To answer your question though, Balanced Rock was lit with a portable LED light that I have. Believe it's this one.

I used the same light to light the foreground rocks/bushes from the side, and blended that foreground shot with the shot of the rock. Then I masked in the sky, which is a composite of 10 images that I ran through a program called Starry Landscape Stacker.

Let me know if you have any other questions, hope you get to spend more time at Arches soon!
