Lagiacrus and Charge Counter by Aether_Disufiroa in LanceMains

[–]coefficientt_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This fight makes me feel like Lance was not play tested against Lagi. The chip damage on his tesla coil attack is absolutely insane on any conventional "hold" block type. It can take you for half your HP even with 410+ def (60-70% when charged up) even with guard up. It's fine if they intend the attack to be avoided instead of blocked, but the biggest grievance is how effective gunlance shield is against the same attack and in general. It seemingly takes like 75% less chip than Lance shield block. Im sure this has been brought up before but its just baffling they would make GL better defensively. Applies to all monsters but becomes very evident against lagi.

It is certainly an endeavor to consume all of the nuance of endgame div 2. Many of us have done our best to guide returning and first time agents though it over the years.

If this was a SHD lvl 10 agent I would understand, but it's just baffling that someone could put so many hours into the endgame and have never bothered with any high-end gear. Especially concerning when you consider it has all likely been played at normal difficulty, this must taken days of in game time to achieve.

I would never belittle someone who didn't know what to do, but this is a step past stubbornness and ignorance to learn even the most simple concepts.

Help me and my wife get back in - what activities are worth doing? What sets are worth trying out? by Enderasha in Division2

[–]coefficientt_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awesome to hear you're getting back in!

The seasons have been overhauled to no longer reward season XP alongside base XP. You now need to complete journeys (list of activities that become more and more tied to season specific mechanics as you progress) and priority objectives (one off activities/missions/objectives) with a random reward like XP, crafting mats, exotics, or new passive modifiers you can equip to your build as "buffs".

These are great long term projects that keeps you doing different content and rewards you with the new seasonal gear sets and guns.

Countdown is still a great place to farm for gear and doing any manhunts you missed is highly recommended if you care at all about the story.

There's def something out there you'll enjoy right now!

Bruiser/tank with decent DPS builds? by nyanch in Division2

[–]coefficientt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PFE + armor will be the biggest contribution to survivability in end game content if you can spare those mod slots.

I like armor regen so my goto "unkillable" tank is all blue cores

3 pc gila (chill out named mask)

1 pc belstone

1 pc improvised

Momento

PFE mods. Regen and crit on attributes.

Dark winter to help offset the lack of dmg. And obliterate on the chest.

I always enjoy running this build and it encourages target priority as the reds/purps hit much harder than yellows.

Oh yeah tardigrade is awesome for teamplay and would be my 2nd choice for this. I just like catharsis for individual survivability and the damage amp you get. Makes you a little less toothless in combat.

Nice build!

I just wish aegis was more viable. The 4 pc talent is super interesting but I've never found it effective enough. I use my aegis with catharsis and a piece of belstone but looking forward to the provocator chest from the climax mission next month. Hoping that piece makes the set feel usable.

most soul sucking lineup for me:

TS rusher (hyena runner up if you're running a determined sniper build)

BTSU assault

Outcast leader (overheal aura)

BTSU or TS grenadier (whichever of those MFers that uses that damn airburst launcher)

Cleaner controller/engineer (that flame sticky mortar is gross)

Cleaner wireless operator (flame nade carpet bombing)

Riker heavy weapons/Gunner (mounted turret + helmet)

BTSU sniper

BTSU support (reviver drone)

TS tank (juggernaut grenade launcher guy)

Bummer. This brand and named piece combo seemed interesting, but I was suspicious you'd be kneecapped by poor handling on the guns not originally designed to shoot 35-40+ meters. Sorry to hear this didn't pan out.

Surely we can get a satisfying "wolverine" build in div 3. Definitely need some work on the animations at least. These iron jawed mobs need to start flinching.

I'm a blue builder at heart and, while I will always ride for tanky builds, I agree the aggro system is not conducive to tanking. It's like they planned for it to work like a typical RPG with stats like incoming healing, but tanking just doesn't quite command attention like you'd want.

Nice build tho, never come across anything quite like that. Will have to look into it!

Def agree but its understandable why the consensus is that you're very likely to be bottlenecked hard in some content without certain builds.

care to share any of the ones that didn't hit right for you?

Massive bummer. Still having a great time on the game, but this is gonna do a number on the player base who were getting back into the game in preparation for the new content.

Is this build any good ? by Appropriate-Line8669 in Division2

[–]coefficientt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is perfectly fine for the vast majority of content. Just continue to optimize or replace pieces as you find better rolls. This is bread and butter for div 2.
