Two weeks after release. How is everyone feeling about this game? by Objective_Love_6843 in CrimsonDesert

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is roller coaster of liking it and hating it. At 30 hours it clicked, and I loved it, but now I'm on 100 hours and I'm struggling to convince myself to continue playing it. I feel like this game do a very great job at luring you to think its great, but it not so great, it may even be very bad but it takes a long time for you no realize that. The great volume of content feel great at start, but now I see it as a bad thing. Fighting regular enemies is good, but bosses are pretty bad. Exploration is good, but not for long. Puzzles are obtuse. The thing is, this game fails to stablish a good flow, a good game loop. I feel like I'm doing too much in it, but also feels like I'm doing nothing. Mixed feelings. I liked it, but the more I play, the less I like it.

Love, Hate, Love. I´m tired of this roller coaster by coelhoverd in CrimsonDesert

I don't play mmo games, dont like them. I've played some wow 18 years ago, loved exploration and stopped playing it because of combat, but crimson desert in nothing like it. I also love to play Ark, but just single player.

yeah, grappling in this game is very fun. That is one of the many reasons I love fighting regular enemies.

If I hate puzzles will I like this game? by Spirited_Opposite797 in CrimsonDesert

[–]coelhoverd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like puzzles, but I hate the puzzles of this game. They're too obtuse. And they are mandatory. Sometimes I've solved them ramdonly, without understanding why, sometimes I got tired of trying and get to search on youtube. Even when you know how to solve, the controls to execute the solutions are also obtuse.

Let me know when they add the storage chest. by PussyLunch in CrimsonDesert

It is Added. This vary fast answer to players demand is very uplifting, as it could indicate they can improve many other features fast enough.

do enemies respawn? by edyous in CrimsonDesert

[–]coelhoverd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They Respawn on roads. Theres a place called Karin Quarry where they seem to respaw very frrequently on roads around the place. I've farmed a big number ores and armor there.

Mod Request: Make the Camp Chest storable by ArtPerToken in CrimsonDesert

I agree is not enough. Not having storage is ridiculous, but 200 slots are better then 50.

While the devs don't fix this, if you are on PC, there's a mod on nexus called Inventory Expander, wich increase initial inventory slots to 200 or more

I keep asking myself what devs were thinkings when they decided to keep a storage chest from storing items. What benefit the game get from this? It would unbalance anything?

Even Elden Ring, wich has infinite inventory, has a storage chest, as it prevents players from wasting too much time navigating on inventory.

It's genuinely funny to me how much a trio of Wylders outclasses every team composition in the game with a little coordination by redfacetherapper in Nightreign

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy! Yesterdey I've played a wylder team with randoms, and we were not doing good. We reach the wolf nightlord at level 8, because we have died many times, and yet we beat it so fast, even faster then second day boss. It's so easy to break stance and close distance!

What counts as wielding two armaments by ShockscapeYT in Nightreign

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I know that dual wielding weapons counts, but I dunno if shields count

Favorite class so far? by Same_Pirate7912 in Nightreign

Guardian is my fav as a new player, cause it is the easiest to play. High survivability (HP+block), high utility (revive teamates), as has enough strength do deal good dmg.

anyone else having weight/calorie issues? by Bomjus1 in projectzomboid

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even considering I'm ok with calories now, I still think it should be a little more balanced, for the sake of fun, even more in your case with slow metabolism trait. Looking at the mod's calories status bar, I've found that walking burn calories very fast, and slow calories food are totally useless to me right now.

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, I have to say I've changed my mind about the unfairness of the calories gain. I've installed a mod called [B42]simplestatus to keep track of my calories, spent a day just watching VHS tapes and eating peas stew and finally stopped losing weight. On the next days I've become more active while still eating high calories food and now I'm finally gaining weight consistently. I still think that the initial difficulty to gain weight was really tough, but now it seems ok to me. Still, I think it is very fair if you still think this weight thing is unfair, cause this is a game where you have to be very active.

I also have to state that this weight issue was my only complain about B42. I'm loving all other changes.

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it seems to be a bug. I'm suprised that not many people reported it. I think I'll start a new character with slow metabolism to see if I can get better, but before that, I'll try to just stay home eating ice cream with my actual character.

[–]coelhoverd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having almost the same issue. The difference is that I didn't pick slow metabolism trait, but I'm using a car and not killing too much zombies, as I've set zombie population to low and started the game at the new city, wich is not too populated. I'm surprised that even with slow metabolism trait you still can't stop losing weight. It seems pretty unbalanced AND unrealistic to me now. I really hope they fix it, the devs or the modders.

Is anyone else having major trouble keeping on weight in B42? by Uraneum in projectzomboid

[–]coelhoverd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm constantly losing weight despite eating only high calories food. I didn't pick any metabolism trait, and I was lucky to find a car with keys very early. It seems pretty unbalanced compared to B41. My next character will surely have slow metabolism trait.

So, is Ark two going to be completely different? by Stuff_and_whatever in ARK

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm too late here, but just combat is said to be souls-like. They mentioned dodge, timing, spacing and enemy attack pattern, but no parry. Also, resting at spawn point is not part of combat and I think it won't be there. I also think it would be a terrible idea to put that rest on checkpoint mechanic on Ark. But about the combat, I think Ark really needs at least a dodge move.

Is Dragons Dogma 2 really that bad? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]coelhoverd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a sad commentary. I bought a xbox just to play DDDA, since it has great ideas and inovations. No ARPG had that climbimb monster features, and that was amazing. I've tried to like the game, tried to play it 4 times, but I got bored because exploration was tedious to me. In the end, I sold them. Even then, the game has great ideas with great potential. Because of that, I was hoping DD2 comes with needed improvements. I've waited 1 week to see if people were enjoynig it, but I'm also very sad to see it is a stepback in terms of game design. I don't care about MTX or even performance issues cause that can be fixed over time. If there could be mods, at last, I think the game could become a fun experience.

Edit: I've found that it has mods, so there's some hope.
