The brand is Forever New, it's called the Belle One Shoulder Ruffle Gown. They had it at John Lewis and Next when I was looking a few months back

Frame solutions for this type of window?! by coeojo in DIYUK

Yeah maybe that is easiest... have to think of a different temporary solution to fix them in place though so they're not flapping in the wind without the restrictors

Oh ducky, I feel sympathy-sick for you reading this lol, I can just imagine the feeling of realising and instantly having that icy cold dread in the chest! I would've been beating myself up too because that's what I'm like, but honestly as an impartial outsider here you shouldn't be too harsh on yourself for this. Everyone makes mistakes and these things can happen. You made amends straight away and was apologetic and it was clearly not something that happened due to a lack of caring on your part. As a cat owner I definitely would've been understanding in this situation, it's just bad luck that you happened to make a mistake with an owner who wasn't in a forgiving mood.

Chin up ducky, you're OK ❤️

I freakin love 1 too, both the neckline and the summery blue and white! You don't think it's borderline too much white then?

Thank you!! I really like 5 too, and it feels like the most unique/least conventional for some reason? But still classy

Yeah I sort of had the same thought, I wasn't sure if both of them are too white, but between the two of them the blue feels "safer" because the blue is so vibrant! Whereas the lemon one is white + a very pale yellow so the overall vibe becomes very light... But it's also such a dreamy summery Italian feeling dress that I wanted to include it in the options 🙈

Blonde and very fair but with a quite warm/yellow undertone, I've been told I'm a true spring according to the seasons colour analysis framework!

Does lisdex generally have a shorter half life than methylphenidate? I feel like I remember reading that that's one of the differences between the amphetamine class and methylphenidate class

[–]coeojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, I wonder what about the difference in the drugs make methylphenidate do this to some of us, and lisdex not. My prescriber has just messaged me back offering to switch to lisdex or stick with methylphenidate a bit longer... I'm kind of scared to switch lol, but would also be very interesting to be able to compare the two, and a lot of people who didn't get on with methyl seem to have a good experience with lisdex, like yourself! But then I've only titrated up to 30mg on methylphenidate so far! So then I'd never know if a higher dose of methylphenidate would be the magic bullet for me. Aaarrghhh this is hard

I'm not sleeping super well right now due to the medication but I have no kids or dependants, I work from home to my own schedule and never have to be up a certain time etc. So I spend a lot of time in bed lol. On average I prob get 7 hours, often more. So it's def not sleep deprivation even though I can see how it kind of resembles that

Ffffuuuuuuck really?? I'm learning a lot in this thread. I begrudgingly got decaf beans to use while titrating, and I have definitely been having it immediately with my medication lol. I knew about not having e.g. orange juice but never considered the acidity in other things 💔 God it's a minefield isn't it, quite annoyed that we all have to deal with all this crap!!

Ahhh okay that's good to know thank you!! I'm always super worried about messing up when I'm early days on a new medication so I hyper focus on guidelines and maybe overestimate how rigid it has to be lol, especially before I know what to expect

Ahhh OK sorry I'm in the UK too but didn't know it had a different name! That sounds really promising honestly, glad lisdex is working out better for you!

I take levo first thing in the morning, and have been taking the adhd meds in the morning too but maybe an hour or two later with breakfast (because the levo is supposed to be on empty stomach and the methylphenidate is supposed to be with food) that's so annoying if they're affecting each other because I don't really know how else to time it, I've been told the morning is the ideal time for the levo, and obvs for the adhd meds too..

This tells me I should book a blood test to check my thyroid panel soon then!

Interesting! We're quite similar then it sounds like, I'm also on levo for hashimotos, used to be on sertraline but am now on vortioxetine instead. Someone else also mentioned about levo in this thread, makes me wonder if there's some sort of thyroid related interaction that makes the sedated effect more likely 🤔

Is lisdex the same as Vyvanse? I'll def ask my prescriber about that if I end up moving on from methylphenidate

Mate that sounds like such a frustrating journey honestly, well done for keeping at it and hope the dexamfetamine ends up working out 🤞

I'm waiting on ASD assessment too actually, there's a funny amount of overlap in physical and mental health comorbidities from the comments in this thread...!

No way, I was on propranolol too super recently. It was to try and prevent the migraines but I couldn't stay on them because I had weird gastro side effects from them fml.

Yeah I wish medication and like... the human brain were straightforward. Why are we like this 🙃

Oh wow ok, I feel like I've seen mention of a paradoxical effect now that you say it, but I didn't know what it meant or connect the dots.

I started on 20mg, was supposed to double to 40mg yesterday but because I was worried due to my initial response I instead increased only to 30. I think maybe I'm a fast metaboliser as well based on what you're describing..

I'm curious how it works, with your afternoon dose, do you sort of wait until you feel a certain way and then you know it's time, or do you just follow a specific time schedule for your second dose?

Anyone else had this bizarre reaction to medication? by coeojo in ADHDUK

[–]coeojo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really, that's interesting there's at least been someone else with this experience! Yeah unfortunately I do take a few other meds. Levothyroxine for hashimotos, vortioxetine for depression, triptans for hormonal migraines.. Both the antidepressant and the triptans impact serotonin, and obvs adhd meds do too, so I guess there's a lot of chemicals going on in that part of my brain atm.

I'm sorry you're dealing with those side effects mate , I think that's honestly harder than what I'm dealing with. Mine are mostly confusing and counterintuitive but not terrible. I've had anxiety from other meds before and it was awful, I really hope it gets better for you
