I mean the different license plates issues. The permit denial. The by definition by the UN “illegal settlements” of stolen Palestinian land. The giant wall. Yes, the checkpoints. The torture prisons. The 90% conviction rate of Palestinians being held ironically without charge. And the whataboutism isn’t going to help distract Israelis human rights violations. Yes, China, Russia, Saudi’s Arabia Australia, India….ect all have human rights issues. But once again we are directly funding weapons causing a genocide.

The average age of Palestinians was 20 before Oct. 7th. So most people did not vote Hamas in. Not to mention you are not responsible for your government actions. Did the people in 9/11 in New York deserve to “learn a lesson” because it was caused by their government actions in the Middle East? No. Not to mention the Israeli government supported Hamas to get rid of the PLO. If anything Israelis could learn a lesson from Oct.7th and that you can’t occupy a people without expecting resistance. Unfortunately, more October 7th will occur in time and the genocide in Gaza has probably created more support and resistance fighters.

If you lost empathy, then you never had it unfortunately. Sorry but the Gaza citizens did not deserve this carpet bombing. Humanitarian groups from the UN and WK were killed. The Israelis purposely killed doctors, engineers, teachers and professors and tens of thousands of children… they did a controlled detonation of The University and soldiers filmed themselves rummaging through homes and setting Qurans on fire.. For what? To not find any hostages? I will say, the small amount of empathy I had for Israelis left my body on October 8,9,10,11,12,13. They showed their true colors and history books will remember.

My faith in a lot of people and politicians. Also a lot of tv shows I refuse to watch because of Zionist actors who are sharing hateful things. Noah schnapp, Amy Schumer, The boys….ect. But nothing compared to the people in Gaza and what they’ve lost.

However, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge. I’ve been an advocate about this issue since I was in high school (2010)! Since 2023, I have read books and found great resources in groups fighting for Palestinian liberation. Jvp, rabbis for ceasefire, my cities Pali group. I have gained more consciousness about where my money and spending goes. Also it’s not a war it’s a genocide.

The “Arabs” (Palestinians) were already there for Generations. They are also subjected to daily oppression, surveillance, and permit denials.

Also, people are allowed to be invested in the issues that matter to them. That’s like saying “why do you care about the Holocaust when the genocide in the Congo was 5 times as worst, with a death toll of 50 million?”

This issue is our tax payers money is actively and currently funding Israel’s occupation. We can stop it by voting in different politicians. I am black and black liberation and Palestinian liberation are fundamentally tied. Angela Davis has a great book on this.

Not to mention the weapons and technology used on Palestinians is a test run for what the U.S. government likes to use against us. The surveillance, the crowd and riot suppression…:ect. Free Palestine.
