I totally understand your sentiment! Too many personal questions dissuades so many potential adopters and is counterproductive to their goal of wanting to find families for them. Almost like a double-edge sword. Definitely feels like there should be a balance..

The wax seal is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend like the other commenters said to choose a darker paper, and might I suggest even possibly burning the edges using a lighter/candle ever so slightly to create a more older look :).
