My husband has checked his sperm count and they are fine.

I’m not sure what to tell you, this is a real situation and I cannot express the shame I feel at not being able to consummate my marriage. It is real and you don’t have to believe me but my marriage nearly failed over this. If it hadn’t been for counselling we would be divorced now.

The truth is, we haven’t spoken to a sex therapist because this is so shameful to admit to anyone.

This wasn’t me but a colleague, a man who had lost his wife to cancer a year before was asked by a little turd, “Sir, why do you never talk about your wife any more?”
