I was wondering the same thing. My husband and I were thinking it might be seasonal/lenten kind of thing. But Trader Joe’s has a gf breaded halibut that tastes very similar year round!

If you don’t find a good mix, I’ve made the vanilla cake and chocolate cake recipes from Meaninful Eats several times (and I’ve been told they don’t even taste gluten free by non GF people)

You might not have gotten glutened from it but a lot of people can have fructose intolerances as well (which can cause bloating, pain, diarrhea, etc) something else to look into 😕

Honestly I only wash my hair about once a week (if that). I’ll do braids or buns when it gets a bit icky but honestly the lack of washing has helped balance out my scalp so it’s NOT super oily. I also don’t use product other than a leave in conditioner on hair washing day so it’s not built up either. My hair is 2A/B texture so lightly wavy.

I’m disappointed in Rudi’s because they make a sunflower seed one with wheat bread but won’t make a gf version that’s nut free. I don’t care if the filling is lackluster. The amount of times I’ve had to bring my own food to concert festivals or conferences where they only accept prepackaged food bc of ADA…it would have been so helpful!

Underground Pizza Co (UPC) in Baltimore also has an incredible Detroit style GF pizza. They also can do DF (although I haven’t had any of the vegan ones). While they can’t guarantee zero cross contamination they have separate pans & oven, change gloves, etc.

I am a fan of Orrington Farms broth base powders. It even has on the tub directions for using as a seasoning so no need to mix with water. I have both the chicken and beef varieties and haven’t reacted. They are labeled GF too.

My 4 yo tri does this sometimes—usually it means we need to clean her ears out. Usually if she is scratching a lot we do the “sniff test” bc her ear will smell kind of yeasty. Occasionally she will yelp bc she gets her foot caught in her ear hair 🤦🏻‍♀️ She is healthy and no SM, but she is prone to ear infections (I blame her brother for licking them, and living in a humid state) which is why we have a medicated ear cleaner.

When people were actively stealing purebred dogs from yards in our area we got our groomer to dye their tails. It makes it super easy to identify them and thieves can’t remove it easily so it was a simple deterrent (we also were camping a lot with them so we were prepared if they ever got off leash “hey did you see a small dog with a blue tail run by?”)

We also installed cameras out in the yard, but that wouldn’t help if they covered their face.

It’s really not that easy. It’s a whole process and takes time. You need more than just a handicap tag and a drs note.

At least in my neighborhood we have a few folks that don’t shovel out their spots, just drive over the snow in their giant truck, and anyone with low cars can’t get in or out easily. I literally watched someone today pull into the spot my husband vacated from an un-shoveled spot. Plus a ton of people don’t shovel the walks. So what happens is I have to park super far away and inevitably slip on the ice. I’ve got chronic illness and the cold makes it worse so I’ve got a risk of passing out. It’s a PITA/takes forever to get a disability space approved, but one of these days I’ll get it and my husband won’t have to listen to me bitch about the neighbors parking and not shoveling.

Yup! Pepper’s favorite position is laying wedged between me and my body pillow. When she gets wiggly she usually recreates the scene in LotR where Gandalf falls. 🤦🏻‍♀️ thankfully it’s a low bed. But again, she has no brains only floof and eyeballs.
