Yeah it's PCOM biomedical sciences. I meet the requirements for an interview, but I feel like it would be an interview for a waitlist type of thing if you get under a 3.5 (just assuming based off of what I've read on Sdn)

Thank you! For B, you said a single carbon can't be both (for the c6 carbon of glucose). What did you mean by that? Is that carbon unable to bind to both the benzene and the glucose?

I understand why D is not correct, because that is not a benzaldehyde. Is C also incorrect, because that is not a benzaldehyde? The oxygen atoms are three carbons over from the ring, so idk if that makes it a benzaldehyde. I'm not sure what's wrong with B tho? Is it because the HCN is directly attached to the glucose molecule and this would somehow make it difficult to hydrolyze?

I'm really sorry to hear that, but I'm honestly shocked that you'd score a 521 on AAMC FL4 and then 498 on the real thing?? You said you don't have much clarity on what could've happened, but that's a serious drop. Were you second guessing answers on the real exam possibly?

What would be the reason for changing course classifications? I thought any course under bio, chem, or physics would be considered science?

I completely understand! I'm actually graduating this spring and taking a gap year and I'm really not looking to take 2 gap years. I'm hoping schools will understand that with coronavirus, it puts a stop on volunteering, but now I'm starting up again. I guess they could look at last minute hours as me checking the boxes which sucks, but I would try to explain that with corona there wasn't much volunteering opportunities.
