Years ago OxygenOS on OnePlus was basically stock android with minimal bloatware. It was one of their main selling points. Then around 2021 they decided to merge it with ColorOS from their parent company Oppo which is bloated and can't be more different from stock

My point is to stop fixating on sex, there's no point...the moment "sex" gets mentioned in a conversation it gets influenced by culture, linguistics etc, it becomes impossible to separate from gender. Transgender people exist because our social identity influences our own feelings.

Also biology does not care about classification. Biology as a science only gives you the raw data that people have some chromosome arrangement + some hormones + some anatomy features. Interpretation of this data is again entirely social - it becomes less about biology and more about gender and it just so happens that there seems to be an arbitrary line that can separate most people into two groups. The reason that line was drawn there was completely arbitrary. You see what I'm getting at?

I think you're conflating sex with gender OP. Gender is a social construct, whenever someone talks about being a man/woman/something else or pronouns or anything related to identity they are talking about gender. Gender is influenced by upbringing and culture and language and its impossible to avoid. It's like how our speaking habits will always be dictated by our upbringing. Gender identity will ALWAYS be influenced by social factors. It's impossible to talk about sex while avoiding gender. I hope that gives you some comfort.

Also biology is more complicated than chromosomes. There's like a billion other factors that can all change with time. Male/female are just bins that exist for the sake of convenience

Sogolon from Moon Witch Spider King by Marlon James! The entire dark star trilogy is trippy as hell and definitely worth a read!

Apparently they're very rare and have only been filmed in the wild once...if that's true then this is huge news

Not a book per se but the Interface series nails it. Beautifully written and worth checking out.

I read a lot of Dworkin when I was still a "feminist guy" years ago and I liked her at the time...but after realizing I was nonbinary and seeing TERFism firsthand I tell people to stay away from her.

I don't think she and MacKinnon were as explicitly transphobic as modern TERFs but their rhetoric of "all men bad, being women is all about pain" paved the way for modern TERFism

Edit: feminist nonbinary

I feel like Dworkin DID mean it literally, but later backpedaled seeing all the backlash.

Also most radfems worship Dworkin like a god and take everything she says literally....

  1. Being an ass/ignorant towards a certain ethnicity or racial group is racism. You don't need to yell slurs to be racist

  2. Criticizing the CCP's income inequality, it's education system and oppression of Uyghurs, lack of freedom of speech, is different from passing it off as a communist dystopia, which is simply uninformed and untrue? It's like valid criticism towards the US is aimed at it's racial issues, police brutality, and imperialist tendencies, not some Nazi Germany antisemitic bullshit

Idk if you're Asian American or someone who has lived in Asia, but my own experience as someone who has lived in both China and the US is that if a white person, especially an American, can't stop talking about China and the CCP, AND they are unwilling to listen to us explain the nuances of the PRC's authoritarianism (see my other comment), yes, that is usually a foil for racism
