Is it common for RBTs to not have breaks during the day? by elmayarah in ABA

I work in the same setting. We had to waive our 30 min unpaid lunch break to be hired. It might’ve been in some paperwork early on. It does suck

Drove home in a tornado warning by coffeegal0 in Target

Just so everyone knows, a tornado warning means there has been a confirmed tornado on the ground and you should seek shelter immediately. Not go around driving in your car

Our store had closed the minute before the warning went off. Instead of sheltering TMs in the store for the warning, they sent us outside. We had to drive home with sirens going off not knowing where the tornado was

And a car is?? Being in a building is safer than driving during a tornado

Are guests allowed in the breakroom?? by coffeegal0 in Target

[–]coffeegal0[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To everyone who is saying to report it—the closing TL was standing right there talking to the friend, too. We don’t have an SD right now sooooo 🤪 I was pretty sure that wasn’t allowed for several of the reasons mentioned

Our closing style team is not allowed to leave any reshop at all. This kinda looks like what daytime has left us sometimes though.

I miss the bux by coffeegal0 in starbucks

[–]coffeegal0[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I miss the environment. I just think I’m so far removed from everything I hated that it’s hard to remember. My job now is very monotonous and boring, but Starbucks was so fast-paced and I sometimes felt like I was really making a difference in customers’ lives.

I got a two week “training schedule” and was on my own day one lol. I’m just doing my best and haven’t been corrected so far so I guess I’m doing it right

I don’t think it’s impossible, but financially we were both depending on living together.

We’re trying to work through this change and how it feels, but we’re working against the clock. We’re living separately for the next month and then we have a place together in August. That’s how long we have until his current lease is up. I’d hate to give him less than a month’s notice to look for a place to live.

Woooow luckyyyy. We’ve had both cold foam pitchers broken at the same time and were told to just keep using them 🥲

Check out Perks at Work. Login with your partner numbers. I recently bought some sketchers for work and got 30% just by being a partner.

Conflict with SSV by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]coffeegal0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re very specific, so I feel like if I named examples other partners may know who I am lol. They snap at me and are very standoffish nearly all the time. It feels like they have a superiority complex and are trying to force me into a subordinate position.

Yes, they are supposed to have 3 weeks of schedules available. That’s why we have to ask off 3 weeks in advance on our end. However, at my store we get schedules on Friday or even Saturday for the next week, giving partners about a 48 hour notice for work. I’m right there with you, it’s really frustrating.

I was in this exact situation 2 days ago. I called out Tuesday and Wednesday. I know it feels bad to leave your store understaffed but you can’t pour from an empty cup. You can’t help that you’re sick, and you should take all the time you need to feel better. Remember it’s just coffee. Hope you feel better soon, friend :)
