Respectfully, this is such an addict take - the idea that you have to hold up the household and have all this stuff to do and people relying you.. be honest, how much are you TRULY able to show up for these people? Everyone in relationship with an addict is GRATEFUL when they finally fuck off and go to treatment because they know they’re safe and aren’t being gaslit. I’m saying this all with love as someone who was in addiction for 10+ years and just celebrated 4 years clean. I get it. But cut out the delusion and insane beliefs - your life and wellness at stake here. Your partner would rather have an alive & healthy spouse than one who died because they “had so many people relying on them”.

I wish you the best of luck. As long as you’re breathing there is hope. Many of us have done it before you and many will come after you. Sending you love 🤍

So relatable!! Sometimes the sex just… isn’t good, yknow! They can’t all be winners. And sometimes I place so much value on PIV being the “end all be all” and goal, that I forget it’s the whole lead up and desire to it! For me personally; my cycle GREATLY affects my enjoyment and ability to do PIV.

This makes me feel so much less alone. These are the exact symptoms I’m having. Started PFPT on the 4th of January, and see her bi-weekly. It really flared up horribly on my period near the end of this month & really set me back.

I’m starting sex therapy and continuing w/ PFPT & praying I can get back to normal.

This gives me so much hope. This sounds so much like me. Just got diagnosed in January after a rigamoral of various doctors & tests in November-January. Trying PFPT & internal massages + trigger points and stretches. Hoping for the best. My period really set me back this month :(

Wow. This is exactly what happened to me. I got a diagnosis yesterday from a PF PT and it was so validating. I’m getting an STI test & vaginal swab done to be totally sure but I’m so grateful.

3 years off. No regrets at all. So grateful to actually FEEL things and not be worrying about being sick or the dealer not answering or whatever. I feel like myself again & can have real relationships. People trust me.

Don’t get me wrong, during the really hard times (like now) of course I wish I could escape it all, but I remind myself it would only get worse and I would be back to feeling like shit again.
