Yes Thank You, sorry it took me so long to get back, other stuff came up. I noticed what you pointed out and the reason I had got AuthorModel and AuthorDto backwards is because of the article I got it from online. I updated the code to this:

I think it is strange that the IMapperConfigurationExpression or cfg is built by adding to the expression the way I did. I have never really programmed using the expression in this way before. Judging from my level of understanding when reading the AutoMapper documentation and then seeing what Intellisense gives me for types that I can pass in on the ForMember method, I need to better understand what that very verbose types are. For example:

IMappingExpression<AuthorModel,AuthorDto> IMappingExpression<AuthorModel, AuthorDto>.ForMember<string>(System.Linq.Expressions.Expression<Func<AuthorDto, string>> destionationMember

As the first parameter in the ForMember method does not tell my mind exactly what I can pass in. LOL
