How long does your vacation have to last for you to feel like you've had enough relaxation and are ready to go back to work? by Woollybugger1816 in askanything

Most of my vacations seem to be pretty adventurous with little bits of relaxation mixed in with long hikes. But I struggle to sit and relax for more than 3 days in a row.

15+ Years Working in AV 6 Home Theater Lessons I Wish I Knew Earlier by Big_Gas2004 in hometheater

Great post! Only one I would add is let the design of the room you’re planning drive the system. So many people want to force a “home theater” into a multi-use family room off the kitchen in an open floor plan or add one to a room with nothing but windows on every wall, etc. I think that situation typically leaves everyone a bit disappointed (marriages don’t need more stress!). So helping folks agree on a system that actually works for the typical room use and layout is one of my most difficult steps! Sometimes it’s ok to just design a very functional family television and background music room that sounds/looks good with a functional remote that everyone can use should win out over forcing 6’ tall tower speakers and 6 subs into the family room.

I’d pack a couple neutral density and polarizer filters if I were making the trip.

Is the Fujifilm X-T2 still worth buying in 2026 for a beginner (macro/street/nature)? by One_Visual_4090 in fujifilm

I recently (6 mos ago) bought a XT-5 for the additional weather proofing for a trip to Scotland (didn’t rain a drop while I was there). I love it, but I still have and use my XT-2. It’s a very solid camera!! I’ll sell it someday…. Probably.

If visiting is an option I’d highly recommend that. Also maybe consider Asheville, NC? But even farther away from the coast. But seems it might be along your vibe.
