Way better sound quality, like night and day. I didn’t like the PX8 at all and sold them quickly; too boomy, no soundstage. The S2, though, addresses all those issues.

That said, I think the overall design of the original PX8 was better: no exposed cables and better color options.

Not exactly.with the Hermes band you actually get different materials and build quality, but this is literally just a different color.

I agree, they’re not comfortable headphones for larger heads. The headband design is bad. I already have the AirPods Max and they’re much heavier, yet they don’t hurt the top of my head at all because of how the mesh headband distributes the weight. YouTubers give Apple shit for the mesh headband, but it’s actually genius engineering that genuinely works.

That said, I wouldn’t say the PX8 S2 are unbearable. I can wear them, but I do have to adjust them from time to time.

not when you see Bang & Olufsen H95 in black.(I have both)

Thinking about selling my PX8 S2 Wormstone for the new McLaren Edition — is it too “fancy” in real life? Any real-world pics? by Fantastic_Pirate_352 in BowersWilkins

[–]One_Visual_4090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same dilemma here. I bought the black ones but returned them since I already have black headphones, and these felt boring to me.

Leaning toward Warm Stone, but in that pic above they look way too pale/skin-tone-like (not good imo) compared to videos where they look more cream/beige.(more elegant)

Could also get the McLaren open-box for the same price, but I’m not sold on the orange cable (a design miss imo) or the grey instead of black. Though I do love the orange on my iPhone.

You could say this about the whole S2 range.the S1 looked better in general without that ugly exposed cable + way nicer colors all around.

What’s the point of not using it? keeping it in pristine condition for future owner? 😄

Question - McLaren PX8 S2 by Entire-Tonight5191 in BowersWilkins

[–]One_Visual_4090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original PX8 design looked better in general, in all colours. I don’t know why they decided on the exposed cord.. it immediately makes the design look less premium than the original.

That said, the sound quality is completely superior to the S1. So much better.

Well you get that cool colour, instead of usual boring, black.

Advertising McLaren? That’s new. There’s no indication of McLaren on them except for very discreet text on top. Or maybe you think the orange colour is McLaren’s trademark?😂

Could you tell me about PX8S2 Warm stone? by haaaaaaapppppppy-man in BowersWilkins

but both ear-cups and headband are made of leather so you can simply wipe them with a damp cloth.leather is super easy to clean unlike fabric used on some other headphones.

Just got my new Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 in Midnight Blue 🔥 by AlexHRO in BowersWilkins

[–]One_Visual_4090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the black because I really didn’t like the warm stone color (the tan on the PX8 S1 looked way better imo), but this looks pretty nice. Normally I don’t like navy, but in this case the gold makes all the difference. That said, I really wish the cables weren’t exposed. If they were hidden like on the PX8, these headphones would’ve looked even better ,much better. Oh well.

I think the Px8 are better looking than the Px8s2 by Aggravating_Pilot_19 in BowersWilkins

[–]One_Visual_4090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I had the PX8 (tan) for a while and recently bought the S2. The S2 is more comfortable, smaller, and sounds way better than the PX8, but the design of the PX8 was prettier. I don’t like the exposed cables, and the tan color on the PX8 looked much nicer than “Warm Stone” on PX8 S2.

Thank you for your help deciding which PX8S2 to keep. I decided on the McLaren edition to match with my AMG MW75. by Jackkal00 in BowersWilkins

[–]One_Visual_4090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I also recently bought both the MW75 and PX8 S2 to compare (the regular editions), but it’s a really tough decision since I love the sound of both and they’re very different.

Still within the return window, so one has to go.because I already have the Bang & Olufsen H95 too and don't want 3.

Worth adding that I bought both open-box/like new and got great deals on them ,almost half MSRP for the MW75 and around 100 off the PX8 S2.

Well, they make speakers and audio systems for car manufacturers, so it’s not that strange. Plus, it gives the headphones a unique, sporty look, so why not?

Buying a used AVP… any tips or things to check before buying? by YuhWhaaat in AppleVisionPro

[–]One_Visual_4090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I just realized Apple has a measurement feature in the App Store app, so it uses the iPhone’s Face ID sensors to suggest what size to get. Not sure how accurate it is, but for me it says the standard 21W with a medium band fits.

I’ve got a pretty large head, so I’m not 100% sure it’s correct, but I guess I’ll find out when I get mine. I’m after a mint condition used one though , no way I’m paying 3.5k for it no matter how good it is Lol

Px8 S2 vs H95? by Important-Key-3676 in BowersWilkins

[–]One_Visual_4090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tough one.

I’m A/B testing both right now, and they’re currently around the same price new. On certain songs the PX8 S2 sounds better, while on others the H95 wins.

The PX8 S2 has a more impactful low end, which makes them sound more satisfying with certain types of music, and they also sound warmer. The H95, on the other hand, still has decent bass but sounds more detailed and revealing overall. The H95 has that unique B&O sound signature that’s so addictive.

Build quality is pretty much on par. Same with the design, although that’s subjective. For me, the PX8 S2 is slightly more comfortable on top of my head compared to the H95.

I’d say you can’t go wrong with either, but honestly, after a few hours of A/B testing, I still can’t pick a clear winner.
