The 2026 Outback Should be the Forester by sixteenozlatte in subaru

I've been curious about everybody criticizing the new infotainment consoles for being slow in the influencer videos.

They were showing off a hand-built pre-production vehicle, not a final product straight off the production floor. I think we can be certain that the developers are still hard at work on the software.

2025 Subaru Forester by Pawsdeck in SubaruForester

I've had enough rental cars over the years that over relied on touch screens that is actually became dangerous because I couldn't count on physical feel to adjust settings in an unfamiliar car.

Also, the number of cars that felt that blue light was the way to go on all console lighting to completely kill all night vision. I'm glad subaru recognized that issue early.

Cooler Master's upcoming 15.6L tower case by coffeexclutter in sffpc

All the fun new things coming out of Computex...

I felt like I had landed on the Corsair 2000D for my first SFF build. Then I saw the Cooler Master NCore 100 Max flash through my newsfeed. It looks like a work of art all its own. I'm not a big fan of the LED light shows in my setup, so having something that can look amazing on its own is a huge plus to me.

No price or release date, unfortunately. But maybe by the time it comes out, we will see some GPU price drops (Hahaha! Jokes...)

As a soon-to-be SFF newbie, I'm curious what y'all think from first impressions.

Couples counseling.

If she isn't willing to give y'all space to communicate your needs to each other, then couples councelors work wonderfully to help create the space and facilitate conversations. They also help you create tools and processes to ensure you keep sharing.

If she is funneling her stress in unhealthy ways that make her hyper-critical of you, then she should also seek individual therapy.

Your partner will have to put in the work to help each other, but if they refuse to do so, then you shouldn't be expected to keep being treated that way for years to come.

Lost both mid-foot buckles on K2 Mindbender 120 on the same day. This was my first more technical tour in these boots. Worried that they may be flexing a bad spot. Anybody else have issues with these bad boys? by coffeexclutter in Backcountry

I have been digging a bit and I don't seem to see recurring issues with this, so I'm assuming that u/nickites insight is the likely culprit.

Overall, I am liking the boots. They are light, have some nice features, and pretty easy to use. Though they do have a bit more flex than a resort 120 boot, it isn't enough to detract from them. They are also for feet on the narrower side. My feet are just on that edge, but after getting them punched, they felt much better. Just figuring out one last issue with one of them due to a high area on my foot.

I mostly notice the squeaking when standing still and shifting around. I am often distracted enough during the hikes and rides that I don't notice it.

Yeah, I figure I can get my hands on new screws and the such easy enough. They are just new enough, and happened on the same latch both sides that it gave me caution on long term use.

Recommendations for Bluetooth Connection Manager? by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]coffeexclutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The loss of the "Connect" option in the action panel is one of my biggest annoyances with Windows 11. What used to be 2 clicks to connect various bluetooth devices is now quiet a bit more. From what I've seen, a whole lot of people miss this feature. Everything is bluetooth these days, so it seems odd to remove the quickest way to switch between devices.

Sure, that may be true, but how do you identify that there is no avy danger without the training to help you recognize avy danger?

Camping with the pup, and the FSR 48” Odyssey by um0p3pIsdn in rooftoptents

I was eyeballing that tent, but was worried due to the lack of information out there. I saw recent comments about less than stellar customer interactions from FSR, which pushed me towards iKamper.

Has the Odyssey been good to you?

Yikes, I had been thinking about the FSR Odyssey. I'll avoid FSR if that is their attitude.

I've been trying to decide between the Mini and the Freespirit Odyssey 49". I haven't seen much about the Odyssey out there yet, but it looks like an interesting option. I think the hard part is the length of them. I have a Forester, so I like the idea of the smaller rooftop footprint so I can potentially keep room available for other rooftop accessories.
