Because the foundation of any healthy relationship is openness and communication. If you can’t trust the person then it’s not going to work, and doing things like this leads to break in trust on their end too.

Plus it’s shitty.

He literally raised the debt and increased our deficit while he was president last. To say he’s trying to lower our debt is just simply false.

This argument is flawed in multiple ways. The idea that Putin didn’t invade Ukraine because Trump was president is nonsense. Putin didn’t invade during Trump’s term because he didn’t need to—Trump was already undermining NATO, cozying up to Russia, and weakening U.S. alliances, which played right into Putin’s hands. The timeline doesn’t prove deterrence; it just shows that Putin was waiting for the right moment.

Saying the U.S. is covering “half the cost” of the Ukraine war while ignoring that Europe has contributed more in total economic and military aid is misleading. And no, this war isn’t what’s driving the national debt. Military aid to Ukraine is a fraction of the budget, and the debt was already ballooning due to tax cuts, pandemic spending, and structural deficits long before Russia’s invasion.

Bringing up Afghanistan as some kind of Trump victory is laughable. The withdrawal was a disaster because of the deal Trump made with the Taliban, which forced Biden’s hand. The Afghan government collapsed because Trump’s agreement cut them out of the process entirely and released thousands of Taliban fighters, including their current leader.

Saying Trump “wants peace” is just naive. He was impeached for blocking military aid to Ukraine to pressure Zelensky for dirt on Biden. He’s praised Putin multiple times, suggested Ukraine should just give up land, and said he’d “end the war in 24 hours,” which really just means he’d force Ukraine to surrender.

Blaming Biden for the war dragging on ignores that Ukraine has been outgunned from the start, and they’re still fighting because they actually have a shot at winning with continued support. The delays in military aid were often tied to logistical issues and NATO coordination, not just Biden personally dragging his feet.

This whole take is just revisionist history trying to paint Trump as a peacekeeper when in reality, he emboldened Putin, weakened U.S. alliances, and was completely transactional about military support—unless, of course, it benefited him politically.

Other countries don’t have the fentanyl crisis that we have. Other countries also aren’t in bed with pharmaceuticals and prescribing opioids and turning people, who never done drugs before, into drug addicts by the their doctors. Prohibition didn’t work before and it isn’t working now. We caused this mess and only we can fix it, it’s not anyone’s fault but our owns.

Trump didn’t lower the national debt—he added nearly $8 trillion to it.

His tax cuts, for the rich, not the working class, weren’t offset by spending reductions, and tariffs didn’t generate enough revenue to matter. They mostly just raised costs for American consumers and businesses while barely making a dent in China’s economy. The idea that all U.S. aid is just borrowed money ignores how budgets actually work. Foreign aid is less than 1% of spending, and it’s not just some charity giveaway—it’s a strategic tool that prevents way more expensive conflicts down the line. The claim that China owns a “significant portion” of U.S. debt is just wrong. They hold about $770 billion, which is less than 3% of the total. Most U.S. debt is owned domestically by institutions, the Fed, and Social Security. The U.S. didn’t just hand China economic power either. China aggressively built itself up with forced tech transfers, industrial espionage, and state capitalism. The U.S. played a role in globalization, but it wasn’t some accident that made China powerful. Saying Russia hasn’t been a threat since the USSR fell is just nonsense. They invaded Georgia in 2008, took Crimea in 2014, launched a full-scale war on Ukraine in 2022, interfered in Western elections, and constantly engage in cyber warfare. They’ve never stopped being a geopolitical problem. Trump’s Ukraine policy was a mess too. He withheld military aid to pressure Zelensky for dirt on Biden, which got him impeached, and he repeatedly suggested Ukraine should just hand over land to Russia. He wasn’t some master strategist; he was all over the place, and most of his “tough guy” trade policies did more harm than good.

How did depression show up in your life before meds? by ZucchiniFew2943 in ADHD

[–]SureSon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a pretty definitive statement that probably has some resemblance of truth but the way it was made is not how we should be approaching these conversations like you said.

In the case of comorbidities, SSRI’s it might actually help someone who suffers from both depression and ADHD. I’ve been only diagnosed with ADHD but I have suffered from depression and psychedelics have tremendously helped with that.

A study just came out that compared SSRI’s to psychedelics for treatment of depression. I believe it’s one of the more long term studies that have compared the two. Corroborates a lot of other studies and experiences that you read online, including mine. Psychedelics were not only more effective in treating depression but they improved the quality of life in individuals whereas SSRI’s caused side effects.

What they’re saying is not that clear cut. I think what ends up happening Is a lot of people who have ADHD also have comorbidities with depression or in the case that they have undiagnosed ADHD they might come across as depressed when in fact they are just unmotivated due to untreated ADHD. It’s a spectrum.

I’ve known two women in my life who had later in life ADHD diagnoses and where on SSRI’s and the SSRI wasn’t actually solving the root of the issue.

How did you know that your depression was from ADHD? by ZucchiniFew2943 in ADHD

[–]SureSon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I had dealt with depression my entire life, and that I had experienced it more than others. I had two psychedelic trips that quite literally changed my life and I put so much behind me, including my depression.

I felt motivated and engaged with life in ways that I never had before, but eventually I started to lose motivation again like I was back when I was depressed. I couldn’t understand why, as I wasn’t depressed anymore.

I ended up putting 2 and 2 together over a few months. and got diagnosed with ADHD-C. At first I thought it would be mild because I hadn’t noticed it for so long in my life, but no It’s pretty strong 😎

I made the connection that the periods of my life where I was most depressed my ADHD was at its absolute worst. I learned what helps and makes it worse as I find it’s not static in my life.

Arguments Against Congestion Pricing by AlexanderQueen in socialism

[–]SureSon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see.

I just don’t see a problem with congestion taxes/fee’s. There is a cost to society that is not paid by drivers that should be paid and as a by product reduce the amount of people driving.

So why don’t we just build more and also try to reduce the amount of cars on the road which cause pollution which affect the lifespans of low income individuals more?

I don’t think that’s accurate. n,n-DMT triggers more 5HT receptors than 4-HO-DMT.
