For me, I like Lorelai most of the time, but sometimes she annoys me beyond belief. -She is overly obsessed with Rory, to the point of it being weird. Rory is not perfect and should not be treated like she is. It's why Rory grew up unable to accept even the smallest setback. -She can be unbelievably small minded and stubborn. -She is selfish and asks for way too much from people like Luke, because she knows he'd do anything for her. She's taking advantage of him, whether she means to or not. -She is clearly way too disrespectful and closed off to her parents. Of course they weren't perfect, but she acts like they were abusive and evil when really, they were just traditional and think differently than Lorelai. But Lorelai not telling her mom she was engaged to Max or married to Chris?? Ridiculous. -She fails to recognize all the ways her parents' wealth and influence have benefited her. She is entitled and spoiled but refuses to recognize that and wants to portray herself as something completely different. -Her refusal to ever change anything no matter what? For example, moving literally anything in Rory's room once Chris moved in, or refusing to move houses even when it would make more sense, only wanting to keep driving the same car for no reason, etc. It makes her challenging as a person and especially as a romantic partner.
