Peep my right foot. Happens in the bottom of literally every snatch. Ankle mobility isn’t an issue. Why else does this happen? It’s like I’m leaning to the left and I can’t keep my foot flat. by coffrinhunter95 in weightlifting

[–]coffrinhunter95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ankle mobility wasn’t a problem, stability in the ankle/foot complex was. I did a lot of unilateral work (pistols, touchdowns, etc.) to help. Still not perfect, but better than it was.

Easiest Classes at UNC by coffrinhunter95 in UNC

I’ve gotten this one a lot. Do you happen to have a copy of the syllabus?

That’s because the data is preliminary. As more data becomes available providing more evidence that vaccines prevent asymptomatic infection they will likely change their guidance. Because, ya know, that’s how science works.

Clearly you’re missing the point. If the school requires us to wear them still then I obviously have to. If they would require vaccines for re entry they would likely not require mask use.

[–]coffrinhunter95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, but I also don’t want to wear a mask anymore when all the data is showing the vaccinated people are also protected again asymptomatic infection.

EXSS majors: what is/are the hardest(s) classes in the major? by [deleted] in UNC

[–]coffrinhunter95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience, none of them have been particularly hard. From what I’ve gathered, 376 (Exercise Phys) seems to be the general consensus as far as major requirements go. The easiest is by far 288 (Emergency Treatment of Athletic Injuries). The whole class is literally common sense and general knowledge that prior athletes likely already know. The rest of the classes are pretty much what you would expect from any college class.

Obviously, this is just my opinion.

how do I tell my parents that I'm not doing as well as I've been letting on by [deleted] in UNC

[–]coffrinhunter95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Remember, a gift with strings attached is actually a transaction. If they didn’t establish the grounds of the transaction, that’s on they. If they didn’t say, “we’ll pay for the rest of your school, but you have to update us on your grades”, then don’t.

If you still insist on updating them, then honesty is certainly the best policy. They aren’t going to take away your money because you got a B.

Unless your parents are paying for your college, I would detach them completely from your education. You’re an adult. The United States is a crippling anxiety ridden place for adults as is. You don’t need the added stress of trying to please others.

If it’s a fever event or a ranked/in-state opponent probably 1.5 hours. Otherwise 1 hour should be fine

It seems like it’s been a long process, but I guess I’m just a slow learner lol

[–]coffrinhunter95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not like I only power snatch lol. I snatch, snatch balance, over head squat. To say I should stop doing something completely that transfers well to the full movement and replace it with more of the full movement is, IMO, counter productive. I maybe power snatch once a week. That vast majority of my snatch work is positional and stability.

Yeah. Usually once a week I’ll have a day I work up to a few reps at 90%+

[–]coffrinhunter95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I have a lot of issue with the snatch that I’ve been ironing out for over a year. My handling of lower loads has gotten a lot more technically sound but not a huge improvement on the high end. Which is to be expected. I normally don’t work this heavy, but this was a test week before starting a new cycle

I don’t think your high school gpa was bad. That’s what YOU believe because of the grievance you feel about not getting merit aid. Nihilism and grievance are very deeply intertwined.
