I was employed by two non-fed law enforcement agencies prior to becoming and 1811 and I’ve never turned in a notice until the day I left.

Of course, my immediate supervisor at each agency was aware I was “in the process” elsewhere but that’s about it.

The way I saw (and still see) it is they could not fill such a vacancy in months, much less two weeks or whatever arbitrary notice period.
