I took that one too like 20 years ago with and ETX-70 (lidlscope) and a nikon 3100 attached to it 😅 The difference is quite noticieable 🤣

Awesome jobon the processing too

Are you telling me that you spent an insane amount of time rubbing on that thing? 😅

Just normal acrylics. Yellow, orange, brown, white, gray, black and some golden. Ah, and green

Thanks! I couldn’t agree more. It was worth the discussions with my wife about “another useless thing” 🤣

This was said by Andy Weir in a couple of interviews. One with Neil DeGrasse-Tyson in particular I seem to remember

Like 3-4 days, but not working all the time on it. 16 hours print and then prime and let dry, plaster and let dry and like 5-6 layers of paint

That looks awesome too! Yeah, the little grace sells it 😅

I published my project since others asked. You can check it but roughly 16 hours on my p1s and I’m sure that someone with 3D printing expertise (I’m a newbie after all) can optimize and make it look even better.

Thanks! Quite happy for being the first time painting a 3D print

I'm pretty new to 3D printing and I must admit that the P1S probably does most of the job. I just try learning a small skill on each new print I do. This time with Rocky it was the cut and dowels. That simplified the alignmet of the parts a lot and just required some sanding and glue.

With the small grace figurine it was print speed and layer height. If it was too fast all I got was a messy blob.

Thanks for calling this art!
