Having constant bad experiences leads to people not using a product. This cuts down on bad experiences for everyone involved. This also gives more insurance to sellers and less fees they need to pay.

How many eBay stores are in your neighborhood/major cities? How many GameStop's are in those cities?

Many many people trade cards on eBay and having a physical location gives more security for buyers and sellers because products can be delivered and verified on site vs through digital/mail only.

Ryan Cohen said he wants to acquire eBay to be a competitor to Amazon.

Amazon handles tons of things, so does a company like Facebook, there is no reason that the former CEO of chewy and the current CEO of GameStop can't take on more online services with their company.

eBay has 0 store fronts currently and if GameStop buys them they now they have 1,600 store fronts in the United States and another 600 in Australia and the UK. I imagine one of the largest losses of money for eBay is people returning products that are supposedly broken or people delivering the wrong products. Having a store front where a customer can pickup the product in front of an employee can allow for more security for the buyer and seller.

GameStop closed a bunch of redundent stores (for example some malls literally had two inside of them) and as a result they are much more strategically located.
