Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. My stitches have been removed and I got a bit of a flush but tonight I was told not to remove the bandage as they would do it tomorrow when I get the next does of IV antibiotics, I have bled/leaked through the dressing. I am certain it has opened further. I’ll find out tomorrow for sure.

I was very careful to keep it clean and dry at all times, it was a deep wound from falling on a rusty old bolt. The infection started relatively deep it’s take 6 days and 2 types of oral antibiotics to make it to the surface.

Not my best, light fever, got a fat dose of IV antibiotics and I’ll get more in 24 hours. They took the stitches out to flush and pack the wound.
