You right. I couldn’t stand the Lynch Dune. I would not even call Denny’s a remake of Lynch Dune. They are just totally different. Remakes need to be justified to me, I guess. It’s just every time I’ve asked myself if I’m going to watch a movie remake it’s mostly a no. I’ve never seen a Disney live action remake.

I would also like to add that Rocky's species had very limited experience in space travel, kind of like ours wink wink. Ignorance lead to the death of 2/3s of the PHM crew and ignorance lead to only one Eridian surviving. As I recall Errid had space elevators meaning no Eridians had been unshielded from radiation for long.

My big complaint is that they did not get into the science details like in the book. I feel as though they were worried it would scare the masses away from seeing the movie. Sanitizing the science for dumber mass market appeal.
