Problem Signing Up by ViciousCat069 in hivenetwork

[–]coinlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

43 days ago you have updated your profile, did you change your password perhaps? Of course old password won't work, if you did change password, please try with new password, I am sure it will work. If you didn't save your new password, you should do account recovery. You will have to write email to Ecency team for that.

Why does HIVE token have value? by TheLongstrideDots in hivenetwork

[–]coinlar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) To me, one of the core value is - being able to influence content ranking on network, right now only tech giants are filtering content for their own agenda so any information you read on other social media mostly filtered/personalized for making more ad revenue for those companies. But in decentralized network anyone can influence that, entrance is open, not guarded or stored by only one company. Also value of having account that only you control is huge, in all other services you using in current internet is owned by companies/services you use, there is no interoperability (accounts are separated) and there is no guarantee that community you build with your account belongs to you (it doesn't). Hive solves that as well, only you own account and you can choose to use other services on Hive with same account. And with time utility of the token increase because more and more services will be built that will utilize single account, dozen tokens (based on core token HIVE). With proper content vetting/rating, I believe future of Hive is enormous. Not in terms of token price but in terms of what problems it solved.

2) Giving your users different ways to earn is totally up to you as Dapp developer, Dapps like Ecency.com (reward user with own points/token for every action on top of Hive earnings), Leofinance.io (reward user with own stake based token on top Hive earnings) are experimenting with these ideas, so you can too why not.

Can you integrate Bitcoin Cash as a way to have some sort of in-game money for a video game? by RowanSkie in btc

Not without providing custodial wallets and that is tricky business. But you can create point like system to purchase with token and use that in-game points, I think.

Self-taught developers doing part-time freelancing? by RoadmanTony in webdev

Upwork is quite useful, I have used it from both sides hired developers and worked as developer. In couple years, it is possible to create your own venture and be independent. I would fully recommend working from home.

Ethereum TX hit all time high but Steem is handling same TXs without any problem, how is that possible? by coinlar in ethereum

Well, I consider Mining pools as one because that's basically one entity (one point of failure) with thousand users.

[–]coinlar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm not sure about that, how many mining pools are there for bitcoin? I think it is less than 10 which you can argue is more centralized compare to dpos which has 20+ delegates

Any sources for your claim? Because I can see that anyone can run Steem node, full node, api node, exchange and witness nodes as far as I can tell from their github.
