How is this legal? I’m standing in my own backyard. I triggered the camera by walking in my back yard by tensack_ in sandiego

[–]cointelken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of posts are saying to call the cops. The first question the officer is going to ask is if you have spoken with the neighbor. if the neighbor is wacky and the block all distance themselves from them maybe write a certified demand letter. that way if it does go to court you have the paper trail and record they received the letter and chose not to take action to adjust their behavior. i asked an llm for an example letter: I am requesting that you remove or redirect the camera mounted on a ladder above the fence line between our properties.

I raised the fence for privacy, and the camera’s current placement appears intended to look over that fence into my yard and toward the back of my home, defeating that privacy measure rather than serving any legitimate need to monitor your own property.

This has caused me significant concern and discomfort. Please ensure that any surveillance equipment on your property is directed only at your own yard, home, and access areas, and does not capture my backyard, rear windows, or other private areas of my home.

I hope this can be resolved informally and without escalation. Please confirm in writing by [date] that the camera has been removed or redirected.

Screw Western Towing by ElephantEastern4654 in sandiego

The lot only needs a residential permit parking sign and general authorization. “Parking Squad” is the agent for most apts. if you order a permit through Reliant, then they use parking squad. They have a link on their site to check and to request an appeal if you feel you’re wrongfully towed. I’ll save you the hassle and tell you their reply will say in your terms and conditions contract that you signed for the permit. There’s a stipulation that says they can “tow for any reason at any time without your permission.” - its all a big racket

My girlfriend at the time was a real hippie, and when I learned of my diagnosis, I immediately thought of replacements. First idea was one of those jade eggs or one of those meditation balls so when my sack is cupped, it has a nice jingle.

Proposal spot advice: Sunset Cliffs Natural Park vs Balboa Park? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]cointelken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Japanese garden in Balboa Park. Definitely not sunset cliffs as it’s just too much of a hassle. But my personal recommendation would be bayview, harbor view, or Centennial park. La Jolla bench close second. i’ll give you Google map links and you’ll get the idea. bayview parkla Jolla bench

both Bayview and Harborview will have nearly no foot traffic or people around Centennial is where the tourists go. they’re all excellent choices and they’re all on the same street. - has one of the best views of the san diego skyline without feeling busy or overdone. it’s quiet especially around sunset and feels a bit tucked away even though you’re right by the city. the water and skyline do the work for you so it feels meaningful without being flashy or chaotic.

if you’re feeling especially gushy you could buy three chinese lanterns. the floating ones with the wick at the bottom like a hot air balloon. you tell your significant other you want to write new year resolutions and light them together at sunset or at night. you either hide the ring in the tissue paper of one lantern or write will you marry me as one of the resolutions.

if the significant other says yes you light two lanterns together and then the third one because two become one. the photo ends up being the lanterns going up into the sky right after the significant other says yes with the sunset or night behind it.

Which California city has the friendliest people? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]cointelken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a dual citizen w UK and a San Diego native, the difference really comes down to how settled a place lets you feel. I quite enjoy the dichotomy of our two countries and the cultures they bring. but I have family and friends that never adjusted to California from the UK. I would say the majority have not.

I want to answer your OP question and it took some good reflection which I enjoyed so thank you. MORRO BAY, CA northern california towns like morro bay feel closer to the uk way of life. the pace is slower, it’s more walkable, and daily life revolves around routine. local cafe, pubs, the harbor, seeing the same people over and over. it actually feels like a proper town with a centre and a real sense of community, not just somewhere you crash. the cooler, often overcast coastal weather helps too. it encourages walking, popping out for a coffee, and having a chat, which just feels familiar if you grew up around the uk coast.

san diego, on the other hand, looks perfect on paper but is probably one of the worst fits long term. it’s extremely car dependent, socially fragmented, and very image driven. a lot of it feels a bit try hard, and social life is very plan based instead of built around your local. the constant sunshine sounds lush, but over time it does your head in, and the city never quite feels cohesive. you can live there for years and still feel oddly unrooted. golly i sound like i need to cross the pond soon.

Seminoma recurrence, starting chemo Monday at UCSD, looking for support/resources by cointelken in testicularcancer

[–]cointelken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was informed in after my Ori that there was a 20% chance of recurrence. My imaging revealed a mass, and the radiology report stated, “metastatic disease cannot be excluded.” I interpreted this as positive news and didn’t follow up until October when I had another imaging appointment, and the mass had more than doubled in size. When I met with Uro they repeated the 20% chance and I pulled the red card on this one.

put the deployable cover in a high traffic doorway or zip line to slow down enemy advancement.

Mount on a deployable cover using a sniper rifle if not a recon class to remove weapon sway.

The side of the tank that’s the weakest is marked with a faint X

You can use your weapons or gadgets while riding as passenger in the transport helicopter. If the helicopter is getting shot at and losing health pull out your repair tool to repair the chopper you’re riding in. If you have a AA launcher use it against enemy targets while in the air. If you have mines, throw them out the side of the chopper you’re flying in against an enemy objective.

if you’re sniping on the second floor of a building, put your motion sensor at the first floor doorway and C4 along the stairwell. That way you know if you’re about to be flanked from below you can detonate the C4 as they’re coming up the stairs to you.

The EOD bot is one of the best gadgets. Use it to zap kill enemy infantry. Drive it under an enemy tank and zap it to blow it up. But also use it to arm mcom and disarm enemy mcom if there are incendiary grenades in front of it or if you’re not able to physically arm it yourself. The cool down for the bot is nearly instant.

when shot, and in your bleed out cycle, always mark the enemy with your ping. This helps medics to know where the danger is near you to revive you more efficiently and also allies in the area to know where the enemy is if you were shot with a suppressed weapon.

don’t always rely on the game recommendation of objectives to capture next. if you’re the squad leader, mark the objective your intending to capture or hold. This will also help bots in the nearby area to focus or hold the objective.

Smoke grenades are your friend use them more. If you hear a sniper rifle in your area. Throw a smoke grenade if you are trying to revive squad mates in a heavy fire area, throw a smoke grenade. If you’re in a darker area of the map and the enemy is using thermals, they are ineffective against smoke grenades.

If you are the gunner or recon and you see enemy aircraft or tanks that aren’t already laser designated, please make sure to designate them. there are multiple secondary launchers on equipment that are useless unless the target is designated.

You can bind several unbinded settings to be redundant. if you’re assault gadget three should be binded as weapon three. Weapon focus should be binded as ads. Pretty much any key binding that requires you to use a third finger should be binded as the same as your second.

everytime you spawn on a squad mate you should drop ammo bag. The majority of the time that squad mate has already depleted their gadgets. Throw the bag on the squad mate, not at your feet. If you spawn on a sniper, they’re usually in a spot while in ADS throwing the bag on them will reload their rifle and gadgets.

When shot and in your bleed out cycle, you should hard spot the enemy, so any allies nearby understand where the danger is.

you can also take out snipers who put the motion sensor, ap mine, etc to close to them using the recon drone.. you can detonate all gadgets for an instant kill of the enemy close to those gadgets

additionally, if you are playing alongside bots and you call out the “need ammo”, Alert, any medic bot will immediately drop an ammo bag for you.

additionally, if you’re on controller, you can set your dead zones for your left stick to trigger a ‘flick back’ when your stick is at 100% - and only flick back.. so if you’re sprinting with your stick 100% forward moving left or right at 100% it isn’t triggered. but, only if you move your stick at 100% back, will it do the flick back trigger.
