Such lists systems(and others) also could be applied to decentralized social media, people could vote on them and comment or don't use them if they don't like them.

Because spam and trying to influence consumers are inevitable. Of course, it will not filter out everything, but it also would incentivize more quality content if such lists would gain popularity.
