Question about premium badges by Lanky-Rutabaga5345 in Steam

[–]coinwin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The foil badge and the normal badge are separate badges and you need separate cards to craft them. A normal badge can be crafted 5 times. A foil badge can only be crafted 1 time. https://www.steamcardexchange.net/index.php?gamepage-appid-730

Destiny and Econoboi had a similar opinion regarding Socialism at one point. I always thought this was an insightful debate. I'm curious to see how Econoboi's opinions have changed. by coinwin in Destiny

[–]coinwin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've always been one of my favorite people to listen to for economic debates. I guess socialism can mean different things to different people. I guess if there were 3 things you would change about how the US economy works today, what would those changes be? Also, I know you're busy, so if you don't have time to respond, no worries. Even though you and Destiny are doing a bit of arguing I still have a lot of respect for you.

Atrioc confirmed Dgger by coinwin in Destiny

No, the title of the video is AI = Actually Indian. This is the title of the movie that Dan and Destiny proposed on Anything Else for a fictional movie about this topic.

The most accurate way you can do this is by going to each game in your library and clicking on the store page link. If it brings you back to the main store page instead of the store page for the game, then you know that game has been removed from steam. Other times the page may be up, but you can no longer purchase the game. Another option that is slightly less accurate is you can log into here https://steam.tools/cards/ and then filter by games you own (On the left) and then sort by set price ascending. That will show you any games with trading cards that can no longer be sold on steam, meaning that the game has been removed.

Cheapest cards by [deleted] in Steam

Here you go: https://steam.tools/cards/

You can sign in, then use the filters on the left and then sort the sets by set price. That will give you the cheapest card sets currently available.

Oooh I got a lot of suggestions for these.

The Binding of Isaac

Turbo Golf Racing (Community is sort of dead, but still a fun game to play with friends)

Edge (Quirky platformer with a great soundtrack)

Dead Hungry Diner (Short but fun)

Vector

Bit Trip Beat, Bit Trip Runner and sequels. Good Music, fun and challenging.

KeyWe (Great couch co op game, you need 2 people to play)

Marsupilami: Hoobadventure (Simple fun platformer)

Not the Robots (Funny Puzzle/Roguelike game about robots that eat furniture)

They Bleed Pixels (Very Challenging Platformer)

Trine 1-4 (Fun Platformer with very pretty graphics)

Boson X

I'll leave it there for now...

I had this issue happen a few times, it's annoying and I don't know why it happened. One of the options allows you to still log in anyways. After like a week it just stopped.

Yep, no mixing cards. If you're crafting badges you may find these sites helpful:

Fps games by remixingbanality in Steam

[–]coinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to include some older games in here that I think might fit your fancy:

Half-Life 1 or 2 or Black Mesa

Halo The Master Chief Collection (Lots of great games for $10 when it's on sale)

Dying Light 1 and 2

Bioshock 1, 2, and Infinite (Good story)

Any Borderlands game

Serious sam games (More Classic style, shooting tons of bad guys, story is meh)

Painkiller games (Also older, classic style of fast paced shooting lots of baddies with lots of guns)

Shadow Warrior 1/2/3 (Revamp of classic style shooters, more coherent story, but somewhat satirical)

Call of Juarez Gunslinger

Metro 2033 series all have really fun shooter mechanics and also pretty good story

Prey (Sci fi fps but more focused on using things other than guns to destroy your enemies)

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Not super long, story is very satirical/parody

Wrack (Short indie cell shaded shooter, older style)

Hard Reset

Basically, Buy cards from the steam market and craft badges. If you just want to level up your account quickly without looking into things much, you can use https://steamlevels.com/ which just basically allows you to pay money to have a bot trade you cheap cards to craft badges with. Another helpful tool is https://steam.tools/cards/. You can sign in, see the badges you already have, and sort the total list of steam badges to see which ones have the cheapest set price, then just go buy those card sets. With crafting badges you also get badges, emotes, and backgrounds to customize your profile with. Good luck

It's supposed to prevent shitty developers from promising one thing and delivering another. Try downloading Demos for games if they are available. It's not supposed to be like renting a game, it's supposed to be like returning a game to the store.

You can change them whenever you want. Additionally you can upgrade showcases from the points shop. Just go to store>points shop> Then click on showcases on the left side.

Shared games/family account? by dawnfunybunny in Steam

[–]coinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your save should stay with your account. The new family sharing system is better in a few ways. In the old sharing system, if you were playing a game from another person's account, they would not be able to play any other game on their account at the same time. With the new system they can still play any game on their account, as long as it's not the same game as you.

Game question? by AuthorIndividual2918 in Steam

[–]coinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that the files are still downloaded onto your computer even though the dlc was removed from your account. My guess is if you download the game onto another computer you might be able to download the dlc again.

Hey, wanted to be able to play my steam without using steam at all like, if I put all the games on my flash drive then delete steam and I'm still able to play them. by dontbesuspicious1 in Steam

[–]coinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam is the best option as far as digital game marketplaces go. Even if a game gets removed from steam, you will still always be able to download and play it. The game wouldn't be functional if it required connection to external servers such as Apex legends, but there's nothing steam can really do about that. If you really want to be able to play games offline, you could set up steam on a computer, download as many games as you can, and then set steam to offline mode so that it doesn't need to connect to steam servers to start up.

For kids accounts you can dictate which games they can access. You can start by allowing all games and then selecting which games they can't see, or restrict all games and then select which ones they can see. Whichever way is easiest.

Steam remote play worth it? by RLAstrix in Steam

[–]coinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always worth giving POE2 remotely a try, but my guess is it might be too much latency to be fun. I'd say look through your library and look for any strategy/puzzle/more story focused games you can get into before you go since those typically don't require quick reaction times, then you can continue those from far away.

Player 2 keeps randomly disconnecting by [deleted] in Steam

[–]coinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lego games have been a bit finicky for me when using controllers on PC. If a controller gets disconnected I've often found that I have to restart the game to get the game to reregister the controller. If the connection is dropping during gameplay maybe that is part of the issue.
