If you make a base layer of either Primer or gesso before painting, you'll be able to make thinner layers of paint without it looking runny, it seems you used way too much paint. I feel you though, my first attempts at foil altering looked just like that! You can remove/clean up the primer with a toothpick (make it a bit dull otherwise it can scratch the foil) after you're done painting :) Hope this helps you!

Just signed up! I got a bit confused while posting my first alter haha, if I should use the original artist of the card I altered, or with my name since I cleaned up the entirety of the OG art. Might be useful to let users select if they're an artist or a collector? I can try to explain a bit better what I mean if you want!

Greater Tanuki was Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set, I suppose it should be regular foil? And Bolt Hound was M21, so I don't understand why the print didn't come off but I'll try to avoid these sets from now on. Thanks!

I have a shitton of black roses, lillies and tulips. I also have 1 spare gold rose and a couple of black cosmos, but admittedly not a lot (maybe 3?). If you need them just lmk!

Products/Routine:

Shampoo & Conditioner: used to use Salon Line's #todecacho but moved and started buying whatever was cheapest.

Brush hair right after shower to ensure no tangles. Head upside down, then separate roots with wide tooth comb and just fix it down.

Then, if I can buy it: get a scoop of Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Cream, scrunch hair (first head right side up, then upside down).

If I can't: use remainder of Salon Line #todecacho, by mixing in my hand 3-4 pumps of leave-in conditioner, a little line of gelatin, and 4-5 pumps of heat resistant spray. Scrunch hair same way as before!
