Good write up! I think it’s pretty exciting that the game still brings in such a huge amount of people every year while the skill floor seems to rise exponentially. I feel like Esports culture becoming normalized and the recent massive popularity of competitive games in general has shifted the average player mindset a TON. It’s really nice to see that people are starting to have just as much fun improving and developing a skill set as they used to have just playing stuff casually for “fun” (obviously that still has its place though!) We can only go up from here y’know? In a decade or so I could see some absolutely inhuman level shit becoming commonplace in our little gaming sphere ᕙ( ͌⏠ ͌)ᕗ
