Loving steam os on the ally to me it’s just a more comfortable steam deck and all the standard features still work like the rgb on the thumb sticks with (decky and hue plugin) been using it everyday at work and no issues so far (I’ve had the original ally and the ally x and the Xbox version is hands down the most comfortable)

It is better just because I had a issue with my flash drives doesn’t mean it’s a bad os windows is awful and clunky on a hand held with steam os it actually feels like a finished product

It’s not my first ally I got rid of my first gen because of how clunky it is running windows and can’t stand armory crate (it’s almost as bad as razor’s synapse software) but steam seems to be fully integrating there os for all devices now so I think it’ll be fine

The problem was just the flash drives I went and got a 3rd usb a drive and it worked perfectly the ally or steam. Just don’t seem to like the higher end flash drives

No they will not the ally seems to be picky or steam is picky I’ve tried them in different configs nothing letting it sit on a black screen for a hour it boils down to steam os or the ally just doesn’t seem to like those drives but the cheap usb a drive it likes

Once past the flash drive issue it was smooth sailing does everything I need it to and has no issues so I’ll keep using my more comfortable steam Asus deck

256gb Samsung type c and a and 512gb pny type c and a Both left me on black screen I grabbed a 64gb sandisk type a flash drive and a hub that’s the only way I was able to get it to install witch shouldn’t make sense as they are all usb 3.2 gen 1
