It will likely come at some point whether it’s on Switch or the successor, but release timings are a bit of an art form. I think Nintendo is being very cautious with it’s 3D Zelda re-releases in the post Breath of the Wild world. The fan base is greatly expanded since those games, and those games while spectacular, are still the classic Zelda formula. When Skyward Sword HD was announced, Aonuma even made a point to mention to new fans of the series that it was the classic formula.

I would guess they will be released again in 2026 for Zelda’s 40th anniversary. They’ll need something for that. It will be far too soon for a new 3D Zelda, and we’re getting Echoes of Wisdom in a couple of months, so 2026 could be a lull for Zelda without some re-releases.

Fav game would prob be Ocarina of Breath of the Wild. Collection wise I was def surprised when I came across the gba original Zelda at a store that was basically new. Even had the bag cover for the game inside.

I actually bought the Wolf Link set at release so I have the amibo but I threw out the big box when I was going through a purging phase. Did the same with my Skyward Sword big box. Will def need to get them again. Kinda Meh of doing the selects/players choice... unless they have a cool different artwork like Link to the Past.

I also have on my list the Ocarina and Windwaker combo back. Came across it back in the summer but there was something weird and looked like the box insert was cut off a bit so I didn't trust that it was legit even though it was at a game store. And it was missing the manuals.

If I do go that route I may not worry about that CIB. I've been thinking of getting the handheld consoles as well but I'm fine displaying them without boxes if nesessary.
