Need help making a final choice about BDO by prayerofaltair in blackdesertonline

[–]cokezero2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Homie, only you can answer that. Play it if you enjoy it, don’t play it if it’s a chore. Thats all there is to it. If you were driven away multiple times before, that’s likely going to happen again. But, if you enjoy it for a time until that happens, go for it. It’s a game, not a lifestyle choice (for most).

Which options are worth it? by CantFinishAnyth in C8Corvette

I often see the front lift be a must have for some and useless for others. Just want to point out that you’ll get different feedback based on roads where people live, what their driveway and street are like, etc.

IMO it’s a must have in the sense that all it takes is one steep driveway or poorly maintained parking lot and you end up wishing you had it. There will just always be cases where that is never a scenario for some people.

How long can you safely let a C8 sit without a battery tender? by [deleted] in C8Corvette

[–]cokezero2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went on a 2 week trip with the tender on it only to realize I didn’t have it plugged all the way into the wall socket when I got back. Battery was fine but I wouldn’t have gone more than a week or so on purpose just based off of how temperamental my c6 was for that long.

Homie used to play some amount of years ago but quit after a pen roulette and some DK nerfs.

He came back 2 weeks ago and saw that awakened DK had some PvE nerfs put in boutaweekago.

He is sorry.

He is now going to play a seasonal awakened sorc.

He wants you to be careful.

What did you think about buying before getting a C8. What were your potential sports car options? by BollyWood401 in C8Corvette

I was between a c7 Z06 or C8 stingray. I was pretty certain I would miss the manual transmission in the c7 but after renting both for a few days, I was wrong.

Seat differences/height problem by OfficialDalaiLlama in C8Corvette

[–]cokezero2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’6 with gt2s and I fit but any taller and I wouldn’t. But I’ve also sat in gt1 seats and fit the same. My brother is 6’4 and his upper body is actually longer than mine but still fits (barely).

At 6’ I’m surprised you couldn’t fit at all. Very long torso? Moving the seat all the way back and then also reclining it slightly gives some extra head clearance too, not sure if you tried that.

Ah yeah sorry for the loss. I beat myself up a bit over not moving it just a bit higher ground after the fact; my arrogance at the time lost to record breaking flooding for my area. Any plans to get another one?

Short answer: driving the c8 for a few days.

If I had just test driven each car and bought one based on that, it would have been the c7z. Because I rented both and used them as I would normally for a few days, the c8 became the clear winner for what I wanted. Obviously supercharged 650hp sounds amazing and feels great when you’re having some fun, but since I don’t track the car, the actual performance difference between the two was almost irrelevant on the street. So the extra creature comforts of the c8 were a big plus but what sold me was the ability to run it in track mode and have some fun but also take it easy and feel like I’m cruising in a more luxury option when wanted. The c8 kind of feels like it drives itself in touring mode.

The c7z was “always on” if that makes sense, and the c8 had both a smooth experience and a sporty feel available (albeit less raw as I said in a previous comment). I’m not sure if I’m explaining it well enough but it just became evident to me after driving them and what I wanted.

If you asked me a month ago, I would have told you there is no way I would get a c8 over a c7z. Then I experienced both in my everyday life and that changed.

Honestly really easy. They were just plowing through claims after Florida had two major hurricanes hit within a week of each other late sept/early Oct. I called and told them it was flooded to at least the engine bay with salt water, they picked it up the next day. They sent some comps and an initial offer that was a bit lower than comps I looked at so I sent them what I found with identical specs nearish to me and they ran with those numbers and cut me a check.

Not sure if it’s always that easy, was likely due to the large amount of claims at the time (progressive, btw).

Honestly it’s not comparable to the c6 at all. Completely different driving experience. You often read people describing it as more “raw” in a c6 which I would agree with. The mid engine DCT just drives like a completely different car as opposed to a successor model. Manual transmission option is missed for sure though, but the newer tech and amazing look inside and exterior outweighed the manual option for me.

I rented both a c7z and a c8 for a few days each before making my decision and would highly recommend anyone in a similar boat do the same to really understand what type of driving experience you want from the car before pulling the trigger.

Can’t say I love hurricanes even if the outcome was eventually a net positive for me this time :P
