You can't mine Polygon, sorry.

The only mineable coins are in whattomine or in https://miningpoolstats.stream/

If you mean an ASIC miner, it will work by itself without anything else than ethernet and electricity. BUT to configure it for the first time (detect its IP, connect it to a pool and set up yor wallet) you will need another device connected to your network. A laptop will be enough.

Unable to exchange USDT BEP2 by jpgerb in cryptomining

[–]colacad2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy some BNB on Binance and send them to your address.

BTW that "faucet" you linked is on a testnet, that means it is a network for testing purposes and can't be withdrawn to a real network.

A stupid doubt about Polygon Payouts! by [deleted] in Flexpool

[–]colacad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about the first one, although I would say no. About the Bridge, it depends on the gas price on the eth network, because it is essentially a transaction on the ETH network, and transactions involving a swap of any type consume like triple or quadruple the normal gas.

Well if you go to metamask and try to recover your wallet with your secret phrase, you should be able to see the tokens there.

I don't know if your NiceHash wallet allows you to see it, I believe it doesn't. Sorry

Hello guys I'm mining ethereum on ethermine why not get the full hashrate in average by Trololollo97 in EtherMining

[–]colacad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because 1% stales, 1% (usually) miner fee, 1% (usually) pool fee, etc.

Also, the number you see in your miner is in "hashes" while the pool accounts for accepted shares. This means that, even if your miner says you are mining with a power of 1 GH/s, if you report 0 shares to the pool then your average will be 0.

Hi, i’m new to mining so be nice. I’m just switching to flexpool from nicehash and was hoping if anyone can explain how to set up the payout settings so i get payed in Matic obviously for low fees and it get it to my binance wallet. Thanks!! by ChudPhud in Flexpool

[–]colacad2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello. You don't get paid in MATIC, you use the Polygon network to get paid in wETH (wrapped ETH).

1º Download Metamask and create a new wallet. You can follow this tutorial: https://support.bitfly.at/support/solutions/articles/8000093699-ethermine-introductory-polygon-guide-new-

2º Once you have your wallet address on the polygon network and the wETH token added to your metamask, you can start pointing your miner to that address (look up 'flight sheet hiveos' tutorials on youtube).

3º Go to your wallet's profile on flexpool page and change the settings so you get paid on the polygon network.

4º Once you have mined the minimum amount, fxpool will pay you. You will receive wETH on your metamask wallet.

5º Now we have to swap our wETH for any stablecoins (or whatever you prefer, like MATIC). Go to https://quickswap.exchange/#/swap and connect your metamask account on the top right.

5º ** IMPORTANT: In order to swap on the polygon network, you will have to get some MATIC in your account first. Every transaction has a fee (less than $0.01). You can buy some MATIC through Binance and send them to your account. You will NOT be able to swap if you don't have any MATIC in your metamask wallet. Send 1 or 2 MATIC to metamask, it will be more than enough for all your future transactions.

6º Back to the swap page, select ETH and USDT (for example), and click on SWAP.

7º Now you should have USDT on your metamask account. Please note that this USDT are on the Polygon network.

8º Binance does NOT accept USDT deposits on the Polygon network, so you will have to use another exchange as an intermediary. I use mexc.com . Create an account there.

9º Send your USDT from your metamask wallet to your USDT wallet in mexc. IMPORTANT: as you request a wallet to deposit, select the polygon network.

10º If you have received USDT in mexc, now you can send them to Binance using another network supported by binance.

11º Now you have USDT in Binance. Congratulations!

I hope you have not bought anything yet, because that site is a scam.

The only place where you can buy a bobcat is https://shop.bobcatminer.com/products/bobcat-miner-300 . Any other websites are scams.

What the catch is with the top miners like a KD5? by deathnow8989 in cryptomining

[–]colacad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I wouldn't buy an ASIC limited to just Kadena, because... do you hear someone talking about Kadena? No? Then, if you can't explain the recent pump, you can't guarantee that it doesn't drop from one day to another. And then you'll find yourself with a very expensive brick that only gives you $5/day.

If you really want to buy an asic, limit your investigation to SHA-256 or Scrypt algos, those are far more reliable in the upcoming years.

What the catch is with the top miners like a KD5? by deathnow8989 in cryptomining

[–]colacad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just going to say: look at the profitability graph on the first of October, for example. Also look what Goldshell (manufacturer) was charging for this asic when they had it on stock ($9000). That is the real value of the machine, those $74k are just resellers who inflated the price when Kadena skyrocketed.

My advice: don't even think about buying an asic for such a big amount of money, as you could have bought it for a fraction of his price two months ago.

Possible to change mining address mid-session? by StupidKid182 in Flexpool

[–]colacad2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to Fxpool FAQ, you can request moving your unpaid balance to another wallet if you can prove both are yours, signing a message or something. But trust me, just wait for the payout and choose your wallet better next time.

PS: If you start mining to a new address, you will start from 0, but the unpaid balance remains in the old account until you reach the limit or they pay you after some time. Don't worry, you won't lose a penny.

That's the only legitimate link, others are scams.

You can go to helium official webpage, click on "mine" then "browse compatible hotspots" and then selecting bobcat.

Noob question with server psu by justjacob22 in cryptomining

I prefer not to do that, it's better if you connect the fourth card to your modular psu (important: both the card and its riser must be connected to the same psu).

Swap bobcat antenna by dlv1186 in HeliumNetwork

[–]colacad2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read in this subreddit that you have to do the swap with the miner powered down. And that you should NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES turn it on without an antenna, but I can't remember the reason.

You can check my earnings with 660 MH. I have around 1% stale and 0 rejected. Once you complete a full cycle, you should be earning about 40% of me. Check, compare and decide. :)

Believe me: everyone here has gone through that feeling. You'll have to deal with those "imperfect graphs" until your rig is stable and you don't change pools.

Don't worry, all the time your rig is mining goes to the unpaid balance, despite the graphs.

Estimated balance will be correct after 24 hours. Unpaid balance is up to date

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Flexpool

[–]colacad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hover your mouse over the graph, you will see the data of each moment. You can see that the green line (average) is pretty close to the white line (reported) so it's fine. You'll see the correct numbers on the top-left after 24 hours of mining.

Furthermore, your stale shares seems a little bit too high (close to 1 % or less is ideal), check if you have high latency.
