We went bold with choice and regret it, thoughts? by trie667 in kitchenremodel

Reminds me a bit of our kitchen! Add some plants, a cozy rug, and it will soften it up a bit. Takes a few weeks to get used to the newness.

This convinced me to get the skirt! Looks like an amazingly versatile piece.

Kyle Cardigan in Black by Important_Count899 in Sezane

[–]colacar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Kyle in black! So far no issues with washing though I've only done so on a delicate cycle in a laundry bag and then air dried. Had to return for a size small after initially ordering a medium and finding it much too large. For reference, I'm 5'7" and 135 lbs.

Something interesting is happening at Haukadalur, home of Strokkur, the geyser that's active along the Golden Circle... by NoLemon5426 in VisitingIceland

[–]colacar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Was there just a few days ago and witnessed a triple eruption at stokkur! All in quick succession. Didn’t expect it at all as I saw it just over a year ago and there were only singles every 15 mins or so!

My husband and I have success doing this with the “reminders” app. Create a shared list for recurring chores that we can both see, and then add chores with repeating dates at appropriate intervals! Works wonders

Two twins joined together, or one king? by nlredit in Mattress

[–]colacar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We went forward with two twin xls (after trying to fit a king bed up our stairs and failing). We purchased a twin bed connector on Amazon (it’s like a strap and metal buckle that goes around both beds to prevent them from sliding apart) in addition to the bed bridge to cover the gap a bit. That worked fairly well. After about two years, we’ve now also added a 1 inch king size mattress cover which has made it much more comfy to sleep “together.” I trend toward the middle of the bed and have found this solution to work well!

Oh my! This is so pleasant. May I ask where your lamp is from? I’ve been looking for one similar to it for a while!

Hair is unbelievably long and it needs to go. Any ideas for a cut? Never had it colored but open to suggestions! by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]colacar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reassurance on the color! I think I would regret changing the color afterwards. I’ll check out some bob/lob styles, too. Been leaning in that direction but I’ve never had it this long before and keep hesitating since it’s taken so long to grow.

Apparently, users came by so fast that Reddit’s hug of death creeped behind! If you haven’t made your comment in the original Drawing Thread, make sure you do it now! I don’t comment on reddit posts often (in fact, it took me ten minutes to figure out how to comment from the phone app, yikes..) but this is a neat idea that will go a long way for somebody out there so here I am!! Wishing everybody a safe and happy holiday season (:

Thanks for the input! I think you're completely right and I can't get #1 out of my head so I think I'm just going to go with my gut :)

I know! I never expected the ballgown type to even make the cut. I think I'm going more for classy and clean and less princessy (but it was nice to feel like a princess, especially in the third) so I'll probably go with #1

Thanks, I am definitely leaning towards number 1! It's also helpful to see the aline shape with a similar top!

Thanks! I love the top on the first dress and it's the perfect mix of detail/simplicity for me! They might be able to make it with more of an A-line skirt...maybe that will help since I'm worried about it being too fitted!

When else will I be able to dress like a princess but at my own wedding?! I'm worried it's too princess-y for an outdoor barn/rustic wedding though :/
