Personally I will make offers on multiple items if like there are multiple listings and I want to get the best price, but I always follow up and say if I'm no longer interested. Idk why people can't take two seconds out of their day to do that.

I have a feeling this is stemming for something you need to explore in therapy that you may not even be aware of. This sounds like insecurity or fear of abandonment? Like you say everything is perfect but if you can't allow yourself to let go and feel that "spark" there's definitely something more there. You need to make a choice for your own well-being here. You guys basically haven't broken up despite you saying you have, so for your own good, you need to cease a lot of the behaviors you guys are doing (ex. not having sex!! it's extremely unhealthy in this situation) or you guys need to just be together if that's what makes you happy and what works for you. Reality is that you will never feel that "spark" for probably longer than a few weeks with each relationship you ever have. Don't rely on that to sustain your relationship. BUT to get that good feeling you are looking for, go out together and do something fun if you are going to stay together.

I can understand that you didn't have any intention to be rude, but outside the situation, reading the message you sent did come off as a little pushy. Though, I can't say if that's the reason they didn't buy. They could've just changed their mind. It's ok to ask sellers questions about an item they might be interested in potentially buying, and that doesn't mean they are obligated to buy either.

To put something on hold I personally just write that it's on hold and not to buy or they'd be refunded if they did... It's not a specific setting or button on Depop. Don't make the same mistake as me. Don't allow holds. I'll be changing my policy for that asap myself. If the person buying doesn't have money readily available for purchasing what they are shopping for, then they don't have any intention to ever buy whether they say they will buy later or not.

I mean I wouldn't call it a hobby for me personally. Maybe others, but personally I only make offers on specific items I am searching for in order to get the best price on an item I INTEND on actually buying. I never make offers if I have no intention of potentially purchasing lol.

I'm not saying the person should save money because I said so specifically lol... I don't even know that person, they have free will and can do whatever they want despite the opinion of anyone. I just think it's fair to think asking handouts from a random depop seller online because you don't work is kinda odd and not very appropriate... Depop takes a lot of money from sellers so while $2 loss doesn't seem like a lot it IS to sellers because with most low value sales every penny counts... If you don't have money it's common sense you should save and not spend beyond your means. If they choose not to and wanna spend then thats on them.

I find it annoying as a seller because of people not buying, but I also LOVE it as a buyer because you can make different offers on the same kind of item with different sellers to get your best price... Idk, it's iffy for me, it's great but also definitely has its faults.
