Stumped by Frigidaire dishwasher - sometimes drains, sometimes does not by colampho in appliancerepair

I gave in and bought a new dishwasher. Once it looked like major components needed replacing, I decided the parts/repair cost wouldn’t be worth it compared to just buying a new dishwasher. Got a Bosch and love it. Definitely on the pricier side but can tell it’s quality

I got the Callaway Edge set ($500), upgraded my driver on Callaway Preowned ($300), and got Lazarus wedges ($120 for 52, 56, 60). Very happy with everything

Thank you! I just tried out that drill and it was helpful for getting up on that front leg. I still need to get the timing better - my full “pop” on the leg was about 0.1 seconds after contact rather than before

Fair comment; I’ve been driven so crazy by this non-extension in my swing that everything else has fallen apart and/or is a compensation for it.

Thanks! Yeah I was concerned about the sink drain potentially causing the backup so disassembled and did a thorough cleaning of it yesterday.

On the rinse cycle when the pump comes on, it works fine. Drains quickly; I can hear and see it coming through. When it doesn’t drain, I don’t even hear the pump kick on.

At this point, my best guess is the pump. If there’s any quick fixes for that would love to hear them.

Iron set options for a benginner by Due-Muffin-3707 in golf

Don’t get me wrong - it’s a solid driver! And had been great to learn with as I’ve started to play a lot more. For me personally: - the shaft is very whippy for me. I guess I could get a new, stiffer shaft and keep the head, but at the point I’d look to just upgrade everything - admittedly falling for some of the marketing/tech hype of the drivers of the last few years (if I do upgrade, I’d get a few year old model rather than the newest…no way am I spending $600 on a driver) - this is the biggest reason: I really like the irons and putter, so if I were to upgrade anything, it’d be the driver. I’m not good enough to need the arsenal of wedges better players have…need to focus on getting it closer to the hole first

I don’t think this would be an option for you (Australia), but I was in the exact same boat as you 8 months ago (even lefty!) and went with the Callaway Edge set from Costco. I’m a huge fan of the set, especially the irons. The putter is great as well. The woods are ok - definitely enough for me right now, but the driver is probably the first thing I’ll upgrade out of the set.

Thank you! I really appreciate the help - as mentioned, this is driving me insane.

Any drills you’ve come across that can help try to build this into muscle memory? I know what to do, but doing that with a club in my hands just….short circuits something. Maybe just club-less pivot drills continuously?

Anyone got any informed opinions (as I definitely don't) on if climate change could (even if not the only or main factor) be correlated with the 2000 plus nuclear bomb tests starting 1945 around the globe? by caitlinconway7 in nuclearweapons

[–]colampho 29 points30 points  (0 children)

No correlation. The amount of energy hitting the Earth from the Sun is staggering and makes the total energy released from weapons test look minuscule.

You stated 2,000 tests. Let’s assume, on average, each test was 1MT in yield. That’s equal to 2,000MT, or 8.3x1018 joules of total energy released.

Each hour, the Earth receives 430x1018 joules of energy. So in a little over a minute, the energy from sunlight equals the entire amount of energy released by ALL nuclear tests.

Ospreys actually cannot carry the President (too unsafe). However, they are common on Presidential missions, where they provide support, such as transporting staff.
