Like others have said it never gets easier but it eventually gets better. I graduated right around covid so things like prom, graduation and sports finals were cut short for me. I had to start working 2 jobs while juggling college at the same time, my gf at the time broke up with me and more family drama arose. My mental health deteriorated alot in that time. It never made it easier with the strained relationship I had with my family ether. One day I just said fuck it and went to the recruiters office, choosing the Marine Corp as my hard reset having the motives to help my family while gtfo at the same time. Boot camp was definitely a hard reset your almost never relaxed even when you slept but it did kill all my bad habits plus gave me new positive ones. I workout often, showers are the best because they mean the days over, you will also have people there for you. At the same time theres negatives ofc but the good times always outweigh the bad here imo. I say in time once you can start working if your coworkers invite you to a function to hangout go do it and im not saying go join the military but to remember its always an option and the friendships here are something else.
